Castlevania: Nocturne (2023)
The haters will always hate
I mean, if you're talking about character development, it doesn't happen in one season, and the characters whose back stories we've seen so far have been really wonderful. And individuals who are upset about the racial shifting should get over it because it happens in movies all the time. And each of the characters is superbly written. Aside from my discomfort with some small elements, this series was a work of art, with great back stories, engaging dialogue, amazing fight scenes, stunning landscape, and so on. Give nocturne a bouquet of flowers because it deserves it. If you want a show that is exactly like the first Castlevania, rewatch it.
Brotherhood (2022)
What's this script, and plot holes?
So firstly, kudos to the fact that this was "almost" well thought out. But then into the movie itself, there were so many plot holes, I mean a lot. Let me analyze certain scenes that I'm sure no research was done about them before they were filmed. First when the police were raiding that building first, a stethoscope was used to listen in if someone was in there. You only use a stethoscope to crack safes so I don't get the logic behind that and at the end of the day, what broke the door finally was an explosion and the action sequence after that was horrid. I don't want to analyze other scenes because I'll sound like a hater. The movie is watchable but truly as an analytical person, I think you might want to pass on this.
A Simple Lie (2022)
IT WAS A LOT
When the first lie got exposed, everything just spiralled from there, there was nothing simple about their lies😂. Oh well nice watch, I'd recommend. The cast selection was perfection, I mean Bisola for one ate this role up. And the fact that everyone is a serial cheat was just a lot to handle. Oh my God the lies, to think they ended the movie with the worst lie of all just makes me want to scream😂. It's how everyone seemed innocent in the beginning and it turns out the ones you judged too harshly are even the best of them all. Kiki was so refreshing to see in mainstream Nollywood, I'd hope to see her in more movies, she literally carried the movie on her back.
Devious Nanny (2018)
So many plot holes
The Biggest and most annoying plot hole is when the wife went to confront the nanny's friend. After she left few seconds after she left, suddenly her clothes changed and she killed someone 😡. At the end of the movie I nearly threw my PC away. I mean I get the point they wanted to make it seem all mysterious till the point the wife confessed she was the one, but it was just dumb. I'm seeing a lot of good reviews which is weird, wondering if it's the same movie I watched because, what?. So many things were wrong and me trying to write them all out means me rewatching which is something I feel I can't put myself through again.
