Best For Last

Definitely the best show of the season. Hopefully next season will be more like this and less like the previous shows. It's just a shame we had to go through so many episodes before they got straightened out.

More show ending than season ending
Saving2123 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode wasn't bad, but it felt more as show ending than ending a season. Could be because the producers didn't Know they are continuing to season 14 so they didn't want to keep the viewers guessing. It felt the characters had closing and no one has to wonder what will be the next thing.

As for the episode itself, like big part of this season, more characters driven plots and less action tales. The best action episode was last week, the rest is just mediocre episodes.really as much as I loved the family gathering and the proposal that were done well. I miss the action, the great big action scenes and and good humour that was.

Next season I want Hetty back she needs to be there for Kensi&Deeks and Callen&Sam.

Perhaps more a show for the end of the series than the end of a season
cpotato101023 May 2022
This was a little detective work, and too much soap opera. Perhaps they blew their budget on the last few episodes?

They did have the requisite car explosion, although before the title credits.

Btw, if you had watched all of the show, the car blew up because the drone fired a couple of grenades at it. They even mentioned that one of the grenades did not explode and show a brief picture of it.

Also, shooting at the drone may still have been useful if they knew where to hit it to damage or disable it.

It was good to see Sam and G back together, aside from the Rosa distraction Deeks and Kesni were also good, especially the bit in the cake school and boat shed. Who knew Kilbride had a Disney+ subscription.

Next season a little more action, a little less side issues.

This episode was the best episode ever. We finally got a proposal. And i love the end with the party. Hopefully more of the action and personal stuff in season 14. That's where they are at there best and not being political. Love love loved it.

Come Together

Warning: Spoilers
I feel like the last episode would have been a better and a more appropriate season finale than this was. This was quite low on action and featured a wedding proposal to try and give fans a big moment, except we knew from weeks back that Callen was planning to do this. There was no mystery or intrigue around that as a result and it kind of killed the drama.

They could have given us an interesting case or something other than the sappy stuff to fill our time. It just felt like there was no chemistry whatsoever between Rosa and her newly adopted parents, and it doesn't seem like that will improve over time.

CBS in free fall

Warning: Spoilers
After the last episode, I Was hoping that NCIS LA had purged itself of all of the social softness and decided to get back into the action-adventure business. Nope, instead, when I turned on this week to watch I landed on some kind of law enforcement fusion episode of "This is us". Why? Beat's the bejeebers out of me. Last week you had a good self-sustaining episode focused on taking down the bad guys and creating some suspense for once. It was a little Syfy-like in production but still, it was a who's going to die, when, kind of episode. This week you go back to the Morris Alberts "Feelings" version of NCIS. Huh? Instead, Why don't you go back further, to your roots, and write episodes like when Dom was on the show? There was little of this social stuff but, there was witty banter, action-packed adventure, and fun. Do you remember fun? Hello? It's not like what you write now. This show is the cereal version of all-bran. Dry, depressing, and in need of flavor. There is nothing here that makes you want to be invested in watching this show anymore. It doesn't inspire you to care about anything. The only thing it may inspire you to do is take a laxative and wait for the bottom to drop out. Do they make a laxative for your mind? I hope so, I would like to purge this episode from my mind. I don't understand anyone who would review this episode would say, "Hey, this is great. "I got a warm and fuzzy working here". What? Why do that? Got me. All I got was a headache trying to figure out the motivation why you would do this. Why do you treat the writers of this show like contortionists working in a 3ft by 3ft box? If they use the wrong noun or adjective or try to be edgy or gender-specific or try to be interesting with a little zip or zing the mighty hand of the powers that be smite them. The advertisers. That's why you have to go Paramount + to watch Evil or Seal team or a show like this to get anything interesting out of CBS. My guess is they have shock collars on the writers. Hey, writer guys remember obedience is key, so keep on keeping on. Whoops, I said guys meaning both men and women. Oh no, I'm in for a lecture by some brainwashed clone of our college educational system. Oh boy. Good. Don't care. All I know is LL Cool J looks like LL fool J playing Sam. Callen looks like thick-neck mid-life crisis guy and Kensey who has always been the dude in the relationship with deeks seems to have lost her edge. Tell me that ain't true. Remember, she proposed to him. Now she has become a weenyfied victim by what I want to say is her, husband. That doesn't feel right. Is Deeks a dude? Whatever... Oh yeah, glad the couple had the baby. Congratulation on a hundred-pound woman? The last time someone reeled in something that big it was on the end of a fishing line, but hey, we're "Living in America" right James Brown? Hey, Good news parents no late nights worrying about teething. Deeks's the winner there's no chapping. Think about all the years wasted getting to this riveting conclusion. I dropped my pudding pack and juice box when I heard. It was chocolate and grape if you were wondering. The only two people worth watching are Sam's dad and Anna. Any dude that wants a chair with a cup holder, a big-screen TV, and a beer is a dude to hang with, right? I'll hang with him and have fun on the good days keep him safe from wandering on the bad and be proud to do it. Anna, she's a scientific wonder. That woman has body parts that defy gravity and make me scratch my head. I have had to put some serious research into that people. She is the 8th wonder of the world. Make her character a regular. Don't you kill her off? Don't be that way, alright. She's an oasis in the desert that has become the plotting path to what has become a social sinkhole. I got two people to hang with now the rest are a little sketchy including Kilbride. The dude seems like a tough old fuddy-duddy conservative but in truth, the dude is written like a sneaky liberal. You gotta watch him close. Very close. If you want to see real patriotic characters watch season 4, episode 20 of Hawaii five-O. That's how you write an episode. That's how you do a country proud. The whole season of NCIS has been played and soft. Even the season-ender was blah. This network would put on 3 monkeys passing around a grapefruit if they thought they could get 10 million people to watch it. The season-ender used to be would someone live, someone gets caught, someone loses their leg or their teeth. Or did someone gets blown up, but the last two years have consisted of the Rockie and Bullwinkle show with dolphins and cartoon Russians, and this year it's been you're having my baby, the Newly Wed game, and Make Room for Daddy. That's pure genius at work. End with a thud, not a bang. I get it. You can't do a show with Intensity, depth, or purpose. That will scare off the viewers. We got a whole country of socially conscience people but if you put on a TV show that is too real and juicy you'll overload their senses. It's a fake world we live in with fake people living in it and CBS is out to prove it. Now that's the kind of activism I like. When you pretend to care about causes as your day job and then go back to your gated community at night. Go get 'em. Yeah!

What's happened to this show
garywrght7569 November 2022
Ncis la was one of my favourite TV shows now it is awful. Callen, Sam and Kilbride hold it together but the rest of it has went down the toilet. It is a complete joke, I still watch it but the makers of this have to try harder get rid of wokeness and token characters. Stop trying to make this a comedy. I used to like kenzi and deeks their characters need brushed up and pulled back into line. The two in the ops room need sacked . Kilbride has been the best thing to happen to this in a long time. His character is convincing and needed since Linda hunt left but still the loss of Hetty has been massive. The biggest loss though is in the script writing please get a grip of this. This episode is the worst ever in years gone by there were cliff hangers but now we finish as if it was finished. Help us out here.

A sitcom that ran it's course
maarten-deen6 February 2024
OMG, can it get any worse? This is not NCIS: Los Angeles, this is Family Ties: Los Angeles. For a 42 minute show, you first get 10 minutes of relationship trouble from the whole crew, and at 30 minutes in, the NCIS part is over and we have to watch the rest of the insidious drivel that is the Family Ties part.

I have to write more so the review is accepted but I really can not think of anything worthwhile to say about this episode. The relationship nonsense has been building up all season and has finally culminated.

I switched it off. I really did. It's amazing that a whole episode fits in 20 minutes.
