Mark's dalliance with Kate shows up a worryingly manipulative side to his character, although at least he's honest with her in the end.It does feel as though the writers aren't talking to each other, as Hayes gives Mark a different set of instructions from the previous episode, and the scenes between them are rather bizarre.
