So, Nicole finally gives birth.There's a delicious poignancy and extreme sadness surrounding the scenes both during and after Marilyn taking the baby from her.Angelo's insistence on staying with her just makes you want to hug him.Marilyn doesn't actually come off too badly, being thoughtless with a slight drift towards selfish;she doesn't check Nicole's okay before walking off with the baby, although she does stop by to thank her later, and discourages Sid from going to see her.Sid gets some credit by actually stopping to talk to Nicole and seems to be having doubts about things.Indi's failure to check on her friend is disappointing.Nice to see Ruby having some tangential involvement as well, since their friendship seemed mostly forgotten.
Meanwhile, Xavier uncovers some facts about Gina's wild girl past and manages to bring on some blackmail;Gina is actually fairly likable here and Xavier is as lovable as usual.It's a shame he tries to help out Ruby and Casey, who actually deserve their punishment, though.The Kieran subplot is slightly frustrating and hopefully won't drift too far into melodrama.
