Frightening & Intense Scenes

- The second half of the film has an intense feel to it.
- The main themes that run throughout the story are about death, grief, desperation, redemption and letting go. Those who experienced a personal loss, will find the film upsetting. At the same time, the film's message is an uplifting one.
- A young girl is kidnapped and thrown into another world, and fighting for her life at almost every corner.
- Different characters experience the loss of a loved one.

Violence & Gore
- A young man saves a girl from a giant monster near the start of the film. Their fight involves superhuman blows that result in blood sprays. The fight ends when the beast, attempting to finish the injured young man by devouring him, has its jaws blown off by a magical amulet around the boy's neck. Blood pours out in heaps. This can be a little shocking.
- The lead character is chased by a group of shadow monsters and falls in a gushing river. A warrior accompanying her attempts to save a smaller child with them but is slashed in the back whilst swimming. Blood pours out of his back and he is swept away. He survives however.
- The same warrior fights a group of soldiers in a sword duel to give his friends time to escape. He is kicked and punched around hard, but the soldiers spare his life.
- An older man threatens to slit the throat of a younger man. Nothing happens.
