- There is no sex or nudity. Marie and the Nutcracker Prince are obviously in love in this version, but they never kiss on the lips. They simply lean toward each other every so often, in a sort of symbolic embrace instead of a literal one. The Prince does kiss both of Marie's hands after they become engaged. The couple is played by adult dancers, as in the other Bolshoi versions.
