Zombies in the woods again
Leofwine_draca13 December 2017
Warning: Spoilers
A feature-length woodland zombie flick from British indie director Jason Impey, made on a budget of five hundred quid which gives you some idea of the kind of quality to expect. The plot involves a torrid love triangle which is interrupted by the arrival of various bad guys and zombies in the woods. For an Impey flick this is surprisingly free of gruesomeness, although there's plenty of bad acting from the 'zombie' cast members. It's marginally better than the short films of the director that I've seen, but the obvious riffs on NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD and the random last reel cameo from scream queen Eileen Daly aren't enough to save it.

The Zombie Lover
nogodnomasters4 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The story is explained in black and white flashbacks or on the back of the DVD cover, which is a "plot spoiler." Let's just say if you are going to kill the abusive husband of your chunky lover, just make sure he is not a neo-Nazi into re-animation. Also there is really no sense in paying someone to find out who your wife is cheating with, if you decide to come home early. Introducing major characters 10 minutes before the film is over is also a bad idea.

The zombie had bad swagger music and the soundtrack for the whole film was piano heavy pitiful. The acting was sad, especially when the two bruisers (one with a beer gut) talked tough to each other. In order to create effect, the camera jerked around to said hideous soundtrack, and they kept the camera shaking during the rest of the feature out of habit.

Not worth a free watch. Photos on the back of the DVD cover were not all scenes from the movie.

Guide: F-word. sex? No nudity.
