A 10/10 episode. So much happiness before that fateful night..

This episode was simply marvelous!

This Ellie origin story and it did not disappoint! From seeing the family so happy to seeing the family struggling with what happening... and to it's eventual tragic ending.

All the nuances from the previous episodes come into play and it's mind boggling what this series has setup so far. I can't spoil it but this is the episode that will break your heart. You will come to understand Mark(the father) commitment and Ellie sadness of losing her childhood. You will see just how devoted mom and dad were to their child, especially mom. The actress who played the mom was great. This was an emmy worthy imo. Can't wait to see what more this series has in store.

Too many holes in this episode

Warning: Spoilers
Try to make me believe it's plausible. Yes I know this is a fantasy world based on vampirism but at least try! For instance climbing into a sewer after what they now know to be a killer vampire with nothing more than a flashlight! Especially after Zeke seems to know everything about vampires and yet still doesn't say "hey why don't we grab a stake or two before going down here" (eye role). Second is we've been told from previous episodes that Eleanor is twice as strong as Zeke and her dad mark put together yet mom and dad are able to hold her down and tie her to the bed! (2nd eye role) It's little things like that that are missed that irritate a viewer and draw them away from being engrossed into an episode or not. Easy fixes but it was obviously enough to draw me away for this review. I know I may sound like I'm nitpicking a little too much but I personally like to feel as if I could be right there with them. Like I'm going through what they're going through, making the same decisions they would make. Like the creators of the show care as much about what is being made as I care about what I'm watching.

I absolutely love anything horror and have watched all the previous takes on Let the Right One In so I'm trying to make this work, and for the most part it's doing an okay job, but it seems like they just threw it out there instead of taking their time with it and creating something brilliant. With as little quality we can get out of this genre today I'd really like for What Little we can to be of good quality.

Warning: Spoilers
I seem to be in the minority here but I find the young girl vampire repulsive. OK, I haven't seen the next few episodes yet, but really - didn't they say she had 6 days to live? So why the sacrifice, pretty pointless, really. It just justifies Mark the Father becoming a serial killer and we're supposed to feel sympathy and rah rah rah. I say, let the sun in, the sooner the better so people can get on with their lives.

How was Ellie able to stay out of school for all those years, wasn't she in some sort of "system". Sorry for the logic, I know it's only a story. Does she feel any guilt about her mother? How can her father even look at her .....ugh and the two of them just carry on.
