Pleasingly, near the beginning of the episode we do get a scene of Sonya and Jade chatting about the previous episode's revelation and filling in the details. It might not pass close inspection but for most viewers continuity and Sonya's character come out of it undamaged:Sonya hasn't been scheming all along, her encounter with Callum was largely coincidence.Jade seems to be becoming more likable by the minute, as well as filling in as the voice of sanity.
Lyn learns that, due to her negligence, the insurance company aren't paying out. It's a fitting karmic punishment, with the double irony that it means her arson plan wouldn't have worked if she'd gone through with it.That should be it.Unfortunately, there's Paul, the now almost literal Black Hat, muscling his way into the plot line and deciding to blackmail Lyn into doing his bidding. He does this sort of thing about twice a year and it's getting tired.
