Far too many unlikeable characters and unlikeable story lines to be enjoyable. Will gets drunk, smashes up the house, scares his daughter half to death and acts like a selfish loser. And, for some reason, Irene thinks he's a good dad and starts spouting a load of myopic nonsense about how they needed to keep Lily with him rather than letting her live with the mother who'd probably take a lot better care of her.So that's another black mark against Irene.
Leah doesn't seem to be that good in the parenting stake either, as having wrecked VJ's happiness by breaking things off with Elijah, she then decides to rub salt into the wound by chatting up Robertson in front of him.Robertson, meanwhile, just wanders around being smug and annoying. At least Leah calls him on it, she may well be the only person whose opinion he actually cares about. And let's not get started on Roo, who is very obviously Up To Something. And not just the "helping wanted fugitives" something.
In the midst of all this, we have Marilyn and the Walkers. This plot line would actually be enjoyable, if it actually made sense. But instead, carrying on from the feeling of discontinuity begun in the previous episode, it seems the entire town has spontaneously discovered that Marilyn thinks she's going to die.How do they know this?Your guess is as good as mine. But it's got some decent stuff from Dexter so it's not a total wash out.
