And So It Goes

Warning: Spoilers
Yawn. Yet again I sit through a dreadful mind-numbingly dull disappointing Aussie film asking myself why we are so bad at making movies in this country?

Is there anyone out there with any talent at all? Any innovative clever scripts?

How these films get made is one of life's mysteries. Who puts up the money? How were they convinced this was in any way a decent script/idea?

Nothing happens! Nothing of relevance anyway. How is this remotely interesting or engaging to the audience??

Was this made by a bunch of film students?

So a few girls go out to a club....and????

What was the point? Where is the story? Where is the insight? It is just such a meaningless boring nothing film.

Most will say "why don't you just turn it off?"

Fair point and maybe I am a sucker for punishment but I just sat there with my mouth open amazed at how bad a movie can be and again wondering why we keep making films this poor.

Avoid like the plague

I am absolutely lost as to why anyone could plausibly think that this would work as a film.

Every aspect of "Girls' Night Out" is BAD, with the exception being the camera work. The script is atrocious, the acting is poor, the directing is amateurish, even the sets are rubbish.

I recommend that if you start watching this with the idea of "Giving it a go" turn if off as soon as you have second thoughts as it doesn't get any better. Better still adhere to my title and AVOID.

Obviously done on minimal budget, which I understand but rest assured this will be ranked as one the worst movies ever made in Australia, if not the world!

Not for everyone

Warning: Spoilers
Slice of life films are not for everyone, and that's also the case here. It tells the story of a night out that doesn't go as planned. The characters are real, the situations are relatable, and it culminates with an event that may leave you shocked.

I watched it with some friends, and we all had different feelings afterwards. It starts light-hearted and progressively gets darker as the night progresses. It's hard to say what genre this is. It's a comedy at times, but mostly a drama.

Watch it if you want a realistic look at the Aussie drinking/club culture. Don't expect a typical Hollywood film. For the obviously limited budget it is pretty good.
