Real entertainment. So much better than the work indoctrination garbage Holywood is producing nowadays.

A scaring yet a bit predictable story, that will get you hooked till the end.

I really liked the story! I appreciate the sincer effects. It's quite well structured. I like the characters, the narrative thread. It's nice to see it and relaxed!

Was ok first.

Then it get tedious in action and fantasy departement.

Maybe for a korean this show much more interesting in the drama.

It had good potential but poor budget and drection .

I had never heard about "Bangbeob: Jaechaui" (aka "The Cursed") prior to sitting down to watch it. But with it being a South Korean horror movie, of course I needed no persuasion, as I am a big fan of both Asian cinema and horror cinema. So it really didn't matter that I had never heard about the movie, and thus didn't know what I was in for.

Writers Yeon Sang-Ho and Yong-Wan Kim put together a script that sort of fell short of entertaining me. I have to admit that since I didn't understand the whole thing with the infection or curse and the crumbling corpses, then the movie just made little sense. And that made sitting through nearly two hours of this quite an ordeal.

The acting performances in the movie were good, and the actors and actresses on the cast list definitely helped to make the movie all the more watchable.

Ultimately, then "Bangbeob: Jaechaui" was not my cup of tea, and thus I wasn't particularly entertained, and finding it difficult to sit and watch it, having to feign interest in the storyline. But hey, not everything is bound to have an appeal on every viewer, and director Yong-Wan Kim failed to capture my interest here.

Visually then the movie was actually adequate. It wasn't a movie that was heavily reliant on special effects. But the CGI effects that were utilized were fair.

Now, I am sure that there is an audience out there for a supernatural thriller like "Bangbeob: Jaechaui", because it definitely wasn't a horror movie.

My rating of "Bangbeob: Jaechaui" lands on a generous four out of ten stars.

SUPERB MOVIE

Ignore idiots who say it crap--they must think marvel movies r real life too,,this movie was superb hope they do more-i will watch again and again.kprean movies r way better than most usa movies these last few yrsssssss.

dead/undead/dead and relive/dead, relive then dead again bodies of South Korea

The plot is cliché (early on when big pharmaceutical company is involved, you can guess where the story is going), the characters are stereotype (early on when key figures appear the first time, you are aware of who's the good, who's the bad and who's the ugly), the techniques are common and mediocre ("better than Hollywood"? Did those commentators watch action flicks more than 2 decades ago e.g. CON AIR (1997), RONIN (1998), THE MOMMY (1999)?) Even the title gives a false impression that a new Pirates of the Caribbean have came to the silver screen.

Nevertheless, THE CURSED: DEAD MAN'S PREY (2021) is a wonderful time killer. Subject matter Western audience loves, black magic not difficult to understand, eerie but not too scary, high body count but not too gory. This movie entertains, and is quite successful at that.

breathtaking

The story is sound, and the performances - as so often with S Korean productions - are absolutely impeccable, It moves along at such a pace, when it ends. You are like "Has 109 minutes gone already?" But the thing that sets this apart, and far above, any other film. Is the "chase" scene. I won't say more about it, but for the fact that there was little CGI in it, and yet the stunts and cinematography were beyond belief. A solid 10/10.

Hollywood is pumping out woke show after show and movies too for that matter, and a lot of people don't like the end product. I am here to tell you that Korean TV is excellent! This show gets a little weird on the whole shaman ritual thing, but beyond that it makes for compelling, entertaining television! Watch this show! 7/10.

An intriguing supernatural action thriller

From South Korea comes this thriller based on a little-known drama series that, unlike it, this film is a product of supernatural intrigue with action elements. Its plot is easy to follow and interesting with the idea of corpses being revived to go after the perpetrators of their death. It is a story with elements of mystery, police investigation and corporate corruption. They knew how to apply that well in a story that involves black magic and resurrection of corpses, making this film something unique and quite enjoyable to watch. It never gets boring and is very entertaining. It's not a horror story, but it manages to be a good action thriller. There are certain points that could not be fully understood if you have not seen the original series first. Even so, it is a film that fulfills its function of entertaining the viewer, leaving them wanting more. My final rating for this movie is a 9/10.

Waiting For next movie or Series, watching this movie from series the cursed I'm so excited for it. Seeing a father's struggle for justice for the death of his son who was a victim of research, in order to avenge himself the father was willing to do this.

. Dead Man's Prey is a 2021 South Korean occult thriller film, directed by Kim Yong-wan and starring Uhm Ji-won, Jung Ji-so and Oh Yoon-ah. The film written by Yeon Sang-ho is an extended version of the 2020 drama The Cursed.

. I think the writer should make 2nd season for the drama. Case of the murder of course will be an urban legend whether from korea itself or others country.
