A very full on and complicated story line leaves very little time for head slapping

The laughabley ridiculous ending......
Ruined an otherwise good episode. Come on, seriously? The housing for the master computer is set up as an elaborate maze with all kinds of security features in case of an unauthorized access. That kind of a setup would take immense resources/money/workers/time to construct. And for what? To have an arms dealer (Bayar) pay him just $100,000? Totally ridiculous.

Sloppy writing. Totally ridiculous, so much computer nonsense.

I really like NCIS, it's usually fun to watch, even with the occasional plot-holes and shallow science. This episode is the worst out of the first 8 seasons, in my opinion. You don't have to know much about computers to realize just how pathetic some of the stuff really is.

The description of the term "Kill Screen", for one, feels like a bad joke, even worse than having Abby and McGee both hack something using the same keyboard on one of the early episodes of the series. "A player getting such a high score, that the game can't handle it and crashes"? C'mon! That could've been an issue during the 1970's, and even then I doubt anyone would've taken it seriously.

Then, the funny idea that shooting a monitor should have any impact on the computer itself. Even my grandmother knows that the only thing the monitor does is display images and videos, while what actually does the "computing" is a totally different part of the computer.

Those issues, plus the entire array of stupid computer and gaming clichés all along the episode, show that none of the people involved in the writing process of the episode had a clue about computers. That's just bad, sloppy writing, and it's a shame, because this show has so much talent. How hard is it for a show of that magnitude to have someone who knows computers go over the script and suggest corrections?

So ridiculous

The computer 'hacking' prowess of McGee has always been tongue in cheek outrageous... like "i'll check the financials" and he's sat down less than 5 seconds and has bank records all over his screen. No warrants,or any idea what bank the suspect has... same with cell phone records, personal emails and the like.

But who wrote this garbage episode? The writers let their teenage kids have a go with what the thought would be a cool 'video game' episode.

"Game over".... indeed

Who's smarter Gibbs or Fred Flintstone?
tacotruckguydavehorseman20 September 2022
Yeah Gibbs isn't computer savvy. But what can't do emails, hits the computer ew with a bat. And recently not to savvy or helpful on other stuff. A chimpanzee would be more capable. He should start picking insects off the rest of the cast and eating them. Or new intro all the cast half naked dancing around a monolith barking like monkeys? The show has become a laugh. Hey I'll give Gibbs a headslap after all he is now just a joke bitch.i guess he had to become a joke so his replacement looks like less of a joke. Now more characters and more just to get enough to tweet. Certainly doesn't make this site a joke.
