Waiting Around for Anything
braves_snl29 November 2021
Halfway through the season and with the exception of the first 10-15 minutes of the season 4 premiere following the explosive season 3 finale there's almost nothing happening in the season.

Things are beginning to boil
Boaz77729 November 2021
There are three memorable bits of dialogue here about the western mindset. One is by Thomas Rainwater, talking about Tait. The other two are by John Dutton to the leader of the protest.

There may not be a lot of action, but that just means that things are cooking under the surface. I'm sure they will be boiling over soon.

What's for breakfast ? Well we have cigs and coffee until noon.
mrmarckline30 November 2021
Not a great episode at all , seemed like a time out experience for 48 minutes. Alright Beth seemed like the most motivated person .

Best part of the episode , was actually the commercial when Jefferson White was talking about 6 months in Brooklyn and 6 months in the country and his cowboy boots and the cameo of Buster Welch who is 93, cutting horse trainer and in the Hall of Fame.

As for the episode am thinking next week will be the swansong for Walker , Floyd wants him badly , jealous old man .

Jamie's own flesh and blood wanted to kill off the Dutton family , oh wait that's next week answer. Welcome back Christina and Jamie's son .

Had to watch it twice , I thought watching it again would have gotten better , nope.

Piper Perabo plays Summer , could be a new love interest for John , the writers told her he was in his 50's , think again try mid 60's , but hey that's fine she is 45.

Nice white house a farm house in the future for Monica and Kaycee and son.

Storyline building
jadynwinters30 November 2021
Nothing crazy happening in the last few episodes but thats because the storyline is building!! Not every episode is gonna have a shoot out or fighting or explosions lmao and there were actually some pretty key moments that happened and its clear theyre leading to bigger things that will unfold. Personally I thought it was pretty good. Hoping the next episodes will pick up!

Last nerve
dolphiea29 November 2021
John Dutton has a joyless and extremely painful physical and emotional existence. It is evident that his kids do not want to continue his patriarchal vision. So really there is no point to pushing on, yet he does ( writers do better at giving us a Why!)... Beth wants him to find "love" again....or sex anyway, cool.... So now there is a new character (think beautiful, blonde LA antifa) that hops into Johns Dodge Ram, (what) to follow? (love all of the commercial sponsors Paramount!!! NOT!) Rip treating Lloyd like crap is getting on my last nerve!!!

Amazing dialogue.

This episode has so many poetic gems. Some absolute stunner one liners. Very surprised to see so many negative reviews on this one. Went back to watch it with the sub titles. Writers out did themselves on this one!

best episode thus far
goetz-steve29 November 2021
Taylor sheridan is slow brewing this season and some forget this is how good television works. The payoffs will be worth it. The opening with john and beth was some of the best writing of the series. On the same tier with kayce and john talking about reasoning with evil. Love the ambiguity and misdirection. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Stop hating Beth, she has her own demons.
JonyVeana22 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
People complaining about Beth remember , she. Blames herself for her mother being death, she can't have kids and a bomb exploded in his face,i know she is an awful person but she has reasons, and the joke about the little brain and small dick at the end of the episode, size doesn't have anything to do with intelligence, come on Sheridan you are better than that, overall a good episode maybe the slowest weakest season of Yellowstone, i like how Jamie finally met his kid, the protest scene was also interesting, i don't know what is happening to the old man Lloyd, he is annoying.

Episode 405
bobcobb30128 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know why the show decided to give up on Jamie, but they took everything meaningful out of him. Putting him in scenes without the rest of the family just does not make a lot of sense.

Dull and preachy
fh_318 February 2022
Dull episode and preachy about the woke tree huggers. Not surprised since Taylor Sheridan is preachy about injustices of native Americans but makes tv shows about large ranches.

Slow burn
avalosraul29 November 2021
Last 2 episodes have only shifted story lines very little. Too much in between the writers are sort of veering off course. Hopefully 2nd half of season ramps up. So far this season is a little disappointing.

Filler and Fluff
PopcornAnyone30 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I echo those that call this episode boring. It is and not much really happens. Not a fan of Jimmy (so those scenes can be removed). The protestors (eye roll), one can assume the ring leader will be Kevin Costner's love interest (lawd I hope not). Love every scene with Beth and wish there were more. This episode was just a bunch of fluff and filler. They should have concentrated more on Jaime's story but I guess they are setting up multiple story lines....

Going nowhere fast....
greg-5344230 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Series again is in doldrums. .Past 2 Episodes have been nothing but filler for Paramount+ new show. 20/20 for sure but the writers ( Taylor Sheridan) could have easily stayed in lane of the attackers on the family from the end of last season into Season 4 for a "who did it" Jamie /Real dad story... but looks like he threw out 4-5+ more possible story lines.

From Beth wanting/finding "the boy" to more BS love rift of the bunkhouse, to Jimmy going to the I want to show off my 6666 Ranch ( which Taylor Sheridan reportedly bought for 340+ Million), Kayce trying to get his kid/family back to John trying to find "love"...

Whats going to happen now Jamie has a child? Is the future stories going to be of Beth burning Jamies house down with her scorched earth policy attitude to get even for not being able to bear children?

Thank goodness for being able to DVR this show to save wasting minutes of living from the ads for Paramount + new series and the boredom of Season 4.

Interesting the game the show is getting based on what media canx these days
grlym-4684931 December 2021
This episode really had zero depth but giving Costner a girl to date. But no real explanation of depth in anything.

Saying all that , this episode kept with a fast pace and remains a show I don't know why I like since so much if it is a farse parading as reality

And I guess neglect and hate equal love when it comes to kids. Crazy show

But I'll be watching next episode.

Boring episode
explore144029 November 2021
The protesters are super tiring and not needed...boring. The buckle bunnies need to go and Teeter is just plain weird. Monica is up to her normal complaining. I'm glad they introduced Jaime's son, what a cutie pie.

What is happening?
christinecandow19 December 2021
Walker is supposed to fight Lloyd gladiator style like 8 hours after he gets a knife pulled out of him? Stitches don't open or anything? Monica is officially the most annoying character ever.

Poor orphan boy has to sleep in stables and be rejected by Beth because he asked for a shirt? WTF? If he was in an actual foster family they would be required to give him clean clothing once in a while or be charged for neglect. Millionaire rancher on the other hand... just ew.

Everyone tries to teach people
n-995023 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I'm so tired of everyone trying to teach each other. And no surprise at all in this episode. When you see the scene in which Mr. Dutton met the women, you immediately know some chemistry will happen between them. And the lady with Jamie's son showing up is just ridiculous! It doesn't make any sense! I watched it through at 1.5 speed.

Disappointing episode
jjsoltis29 November 2021
Looks like this series has run its course. Nothing significant has happened in the last two episodes. There is as much time devoted to ad for the producers new spin-offs as time for the show.

And I am tired of Rip picking on Lloyd and letting Walker off the hook.

Waste of time.

Less Beth is better TV but vegans are duller than dull
terrylarosa29 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Though the ep groaningly started and almost ended with the despicable creature; she was hardly in it so a plus. I laugh every time somebody has a positive review about her. To support this uncivilized vile creature whose motto is ruining people's lives says a lot about a persons character. No twirling horses also helped the ep but still the show is sinking in a quagmire of much ado about nothing. Animal protesters were the main act of this ep. A more uninteresting hypocritical group of people don't exist. Halfway through the season and the only thing of note is how much more disgusting, depraved, amoral and unwatchable Beth can get.

Beth is NOT Your Hero
Tree_Truth_victory30 January 2023
I truly hope no one actually thinks business works the way Beth goes about it. Now just to bring it all home: Beth Dutton is not a character that deserves your empathy. Sympathy maybe, since she was raised in this completely dysfunctional fake family environment. She is a whiny little brat that is the classic case of bully-mentality and arrogance, who truly believes she deserves everyone's respect while disrespecting anyone she wants. Example: Beth coming home and response to the woman her dad had a one-night stand. This show refuses to show any responsibility with representation of real-life ramifications of her behavior and actions.

She needs help... but her father, John Dutton (what a great figure to look up to) just looks at her as if she's just got some slight attitude.

LASTLY: How the hell does their personal chef not know what gluten is???
