What a tearjerker. This was an extremely intense, very emotional, and kind of heartbreaking mid-season finale that wrapped up some very important storylines ... but also left us with a lot of cliffhangers for the second half of the season.

Where Everyone is Left Self-Reflecting

Warning: Spoilers
I'm so sorry to see Lindsey Morgan leave Walker and hope to have her back on my screen some day when health allows.
Meanwhile, her exit was logical, allowed to build, and made a real impact.
Kudos to the writing team for managing this situation so well.
Honestly, what a writers room hat trick.
Because along with Lindsey's emergency exit, they also kept the story moving for the Walker family relationships, AND introduced the Davidson family (who may well be part of a spin off/prequel to the Walker brand.)
---
As always, acting was spot on when dealing with the "tough stuff"--especially the last scene with Ramirez, Cordell (Jared Padalecki), and James (Coby Bell) These three pros worked such an understated scene so thoroughly that I cried. (Who wouldn't?)
Notable also: scenes with Trey (Jeff Pierre); between the brothers (Padalecki & Keegan Allen); and also a Santa spot by "Grinch" Bonham (Mitch Pileggi)
Music, directing, videography are always a wonderful bonus on this show.
Walker is, indeed, a love letter to Texas. Hopefully one that continues a long time.

Warning: Spoilers
The show was excellent but possibly shot itself in the foot in the process - one of the best Walkers so far but if Lindsey Morgan has really left the show - I fear for the future of Walker - the show runners had weakened her roll on walker this season to the point I would not be surprised she wanted out - understandable - if it was a producer decision - hard to understand - she was the glue that held this show together in the 1st season - I don't see much of a reason to watch the show in the future without her - just my opinion.
Quite good but

Warning: Spoilers
To be honest, Micki's exit felt hurried. I mean, if Trey had got angry at her when she told him the truth about Garrison, it would have make more sense. Still, the acting of she and Trey were really good, and the last scene was quite emotional, even when Jared Padalecki is not too good at drama.
Besides that, the episode was good, interesting, with good action and lovely Christmas imaginery. Besides, I was glad several characters were sincere with each other. Micki and Trey first, of course. But also, Augie confessing about his injury, Liam telling Cordell what he had done, then confessing to Denise. But still, we know Liam is right about Dan and hopefully Cordell will find it in time.
I really dislike the scene with Gale. It makes no sense that Liam got out, Gale took his place and then Cordell left. I mean, he barely touched his burger and Liam did not even receive it. Why in Heaven did not Gale leave instead of him? I don't like that sorts of illogical scenes.
Now, I hope Micki comes back, at least for a proper closure. And I do not like the Davidsons plot, so I hope it is solved soon, but I want to know what really happened in the barn.
