A decent mass thriller, but not a good suspense movie

Except for some controversial dialogues and predictable twists (and terribly weak screenplay), there wasn't anything particularly bad about this film. It is watchable but NOT at all a family friendly movie!

Suspense gets revealed too soon (in early 1st half, and after that there's no suspense left in the film) Till then we get to see funny mass moments and some songs. For those who strictly want suspense movie, this might be a big letdown.

Highlights:

1. Ravi Teja's subtle acting in a negative shade and his screen presence

2. Songs - Pyaar Lona Paagal was fantastic! Others were forgettable

Drawbacks: Big let down is the screenplay and direction.

1. Weak, Terrible, and Tiresome Screenplay. The Suspense was revealed too soon.

2. RT's character arc - lazy attempt by filmmakers here. They want the audience to love the hero, so they give him funny scenes. Then they want to show his evil side, too much that you start hating him. Then they try to justify it with a pale half baked revenge backstory.

3. Second half could've been faster. The backstory of Ravi Teja could've been shown partly in the first half and partly in 2nd half. This would've been much better imo.

Final Verdict: Not at all a family friendly film due to the direction, nor a good film (bcuz of bad screenplay) but it is a one time watchable massala film thanks to Ravi Teja, Jayaram, and the film's sound department.

Disaster written

No proper dialogue written Directional fail movie Ravi teja how can accept this script Pathetic performance in box office also 10 cr+ loss in share collection Cast performance --- Ravi teja acting classic as his mixtures of some old movie Anu no screen time Fariah & megha acted well , much screen time But nobody's dialogue written in a good way Slow paced movie Some scenes we can't see with friends and family That's big minus for collection of movie Harika character is a twist but for that her screen presence is very less , it feels like director roped the actress only because she can give those scenes before interval.

Good thriller

Music Ravi Teja acting screenplay are plus points and I had good theatre experience,only megha aakash scenes are not good rest is good ..it's A certificate movie maybe of that it won't like to family audience..it's good for rest of people. Finest actors are there and did their best,some scenes will bring goose bumps like mask removing,climax, biriyani scenes and many more,Back ground bgm in some cases and scenes between police and Ravi Teja are next level. Sushanth performed well along with other actors ,the scenes between raviteja and sushant are good and highlighted with bgm that gave goosebumps...The story was justified with title "Ravanasura".

.. I wish everyone likes this movie.

1/10 rating to Ravanasura Money wasted which can be used in personal purpose We poor people watches movie & supports these so called hero Heroines.

What they doing in this film Ravi teja doing chichora work at this age.

Harika was not done then why to saw such highlightly in interval Movie will not work only when you give these scenes megha garu.

Worst characterization of RaviTeja Predictable twists easily You can say what will happen next easily Ruthless comedy Overhyped Fights ok ok Songs big disappointment Climax very much ordinary Zero logic movie .

Easily a skipable movie Stay away from this family peoples.

This movie embraced feelings a lot. They gave a feeling of being hyped and also this movie's storyline is a little messy for which you need to pay concentration on the movie Also Ravi Teja's acting is good .music was good Bheems did well. The villain's good role for which there is a fight. Director's way of showing the action scenes was a bit different.#ravi teja65 was good. Nice Telugu film overall for which at least people will go and watch.the feeling of watching Chiyaan's cobra will be at a scene. South movie blockbuster is ravanasura along with Dasara next starring for tiger nageswara rao movie.just watch.

Disappointing Thriller: Poor Storyline and Predictable Twists Made for a Normal Audience

Although this film makes a valiant effort to make you believe these movie is for intelligent audience but deep down , we all know that it was only intended for a general audience. The storyline is simple, the twists are pointless, and the logic is flawed. Unless you're just in town for a regular movie, you'll get bored in the middle of the film. But if you came looking for a thrilling film with a more complex plot, then I'm sorry to say that this movie is truly awful. It's precisely the kind of thriller film that was created with children in mind. Even cobra was 20x better then these garbage ravi teja should hire someone to select movie scriptes for him he is still stuck in 2010. For god sake these movie is to bad.

Ee masks la fantasy entayya!!

Regular illogical mass masala movie that came disguised as a thriller.

I was ready to accept all the loopholes, technical issues, logic, and suspended my belief if it was genuine!(read fully to understand) The movie changes its colours, only to confuse us, and believe it's intelligent.

Started as a thriller with the murder, case, twist etc, Took a turn and turned into cat and mouse chase between police and protagonist.

Again took a turn to justify everything in the movie.

Just show the facts, scenes , and let the audience interpret them to their understanding, and then subvert them.

Don't show the scenes already coloured with the interpretation as how the audience should supposedly view them and turn them around and expect us to watch in awe! That's just plain deceit.

If the makers atleast made Ravi Tejas character genuinely bad, evil, i would have given it a higher rating. But no, everything should have a cause, justification.

Don't show someone as villain clearly and then as his actions are justified because this xxxxx is the cause.

We are frustrated with this formula.

We feel cheated.

Stop trying this and thinking you've made some clever twists and intelligent cinema!

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja Ananya's career best performance!!!

Ravi annaya in Ravanasura was absolutely fantastic!!!!! Never seen him in a role with grey shades! Would love to see him in an actual negative role as the main villain. His acting, dialogue delivery and comic timing is always amazing no doubt! Loved his scenes with Megha Akash and Faria Abdullah!

Sushant as a a makeup artist, was really good in his role! It's a different role he never did. And he played his character absolutely well!

Heroines like Megha Akash, Pujita Ponnada, Faria Abdullah and Daksha Nagarkar stood out the most in the film and played their roles really well while Anu Emmanuel was good in her role but didn't have enough screen time!

Supporting cast played their roles really well! Music and BGM was really good. Film does have some flaws but Ravi annaya and Sushant's performance overshadow it totally! First half is decently good with some twists and turns while second half is a bit predictable but it still turned out really good!

Heroes do exist and so does a bad screenplay.

Ravi Teja's Ravanasura is a revenge tale where he gets to play an anti-hero to commit several murders without leaving any evidence. Why is he committing these murders and what are his motives exactly, forms the story. As there is not much suspense left wrt the killer, the focus is more on creating the shock value with the lead character's anti-hero antics and controversial dialogues.

The twists towards the end range from decent to good, no doubt in that. But the lackluster screenplay doesn't allow the movie to raise above mediocrity right from the beginning. Ravi Teja plays to the gallery with his over the top antics but somehow it doesn't fit into this particular movie. How much ever implausible is the usage of prosthetics while committing murder, better writing would have aided the reveal in the third act. Ravanasura in the end is just another routine forgettable movie.

This movie not made for kids and their families so better to go with your friends , for those idiots who think movie is not good they have less sense of humor of movies because they want to watch only kind of comedy drama every time but this movie is different and everything is very good , good story line and acting is fantastic but dont know why this movie gone flop , must watch movie , i saw today at prime video and got thrilled.

Some guys saying story is predictable . LOL , they didnt predict movie genre how they predicted this movie , Ravi teja didnt do any chichora work he did his act as movie demand , for those who think he did better to go to temple and enjoy Bhajan there.

Disgusting and pathetic

It is the most disgusting and pathetic movie in the recent times. What were they thinking while making this movie? Glad that I didn't watch it in theaters and saved a lot of time and money. The damn movie is neither funny nor it is a thriller. Some wired nonsense ... Looks like Ravi Teja has this knack of selecting worst movies right after a good movie like Raja The Great. Absolute rubbish right from the word go and the story doesn't reveal at all and by then I would have walked out. Wonder why would experienced actors accept such a weak script and atrocious movie? Sick Not worth on OTT either.

Biggest problem with this movies is the Title, " Ravanasura "

2nd, with vulgar dialogs, using goddess Sita and more stupid dialogs. There is nothing to do with Ravanasura, Could have been better with different name and theme, and decent dialogs.

3rd, stop supporting crime and giving ideas to people. Finally, Not sure how RAVI TEJA done this movie with all those nasty dialogs.

Overall, direction screenplay and story was good, like the suspense's and twist.

I would suggest make a good movies which should inspire people and should be non violence no matter what in really life things are happening.

Bad story line and unrealistic action

The direction, storyline and the action was terrible. It is such a waste of time, how do directors think that people will enjoy watching these kind of movies?

Terrible experience, very bad storyline and a non sense movie. People shouldn't even rate it 2 or 3, it is misleading for people who look at the rating befote watching a movie. The songs are so bad in the entire movie, the BGM was terrible too. Not at all a fun watch, please don't watch this movie and save yourself. The dialog delivery and it was difficult to even follow what was happening and what was the entire purpose of the movie. Terrible watch.

Awesome story line

I really liked the movie. The cast is very well utilized and portrayed. Story line is excellent. Parental guidance is definitely required. Just wasted time watching Ravanasura!!!!!

Stupid story, disgusting acting by Ravi Teja and bad direction. Overall it's a time waste movie. Not sure what's wrong with Indian movies, especially Telugu movies trying to justify villians. Are they encouraging people to violate law? Movies like Pushpa, Ravanasura seem to encourage people to break law, give some nonsense justification and walk out with no punishment. Utter nonsense!!!

Please stop making movies like this. This is giving a wrong picture to young generation. This is not called entertainment. Find stories which brings some positivity to the society.

Ravi Teja Rocks again

The movie is fast paced and starts with Ravi Teja doing his usual action plus comedy, it swiftly morphs into Ravi Teja style romance and then the suspense builds up and you see Ravi Teja as never before. The pace never slackens and you see twist after twist after twist.

The only drawback is such a fast pace leads to some holes in the plot but overall there is a substantial plot compared to a usual Tollywood or Bollywood movie. The negative comments and low rating just reinforce it being not a run of the mill movie and a bold departure from usual goody goody theme into a darker world. Ravi Teja is the star but others also complement him well. Complements to the makers for departing from the norm.

As fiance of megha akash i was very much excited to watch this movie.

I am tamilian , Although i didn't understand telugu 100% i didn't like the movie based on ravi teja only.

Heroines are only used for ravi teja.

Other cast performance ok ok type.

Background music also not good at some momments.

Screenplay lag.

Boring many times.

1st half routine flat comedy.

2nd half is dragged one.

Waste of money.

Totally disappointed.

Tollywood film making very bad as like bollywood love scenes.

Very bad directional work.

But all at last I love megha & we are planning for another tour for growth of our love relationship.

Worst movie to watch

To know about this movie, just watch a scene where ravi teja tries to act innocent 😂😂 - complete crap.. Atleast now he should join acting classes

A movie for him to romance multiple heroines.. Otherwise it's utter crap.

No thriller. Just pervertness at its peak.

Worst mannerisms and glorification of violence by the actor and director.

Not one laughable comedy too. A movie which will irritate you to the core. I feel pity for people who spend their money to watch it in theatres and the OTT channel which got scammed in to purchasing this movie.

A good medical related scam needn't be glamorized like this.
