This movie was going well and i liked it until the climax fight..It was kinda realistic movie at first then it suddenly turned to a mass movie when getting close to the climax..some twists were foreseeable but its okay when compared to the heat and seat edge thrill it gave...the first 30 mins are worst and theres nothing but lame jokes and unwanted scenes ..the main actors performed the worst in this movie..After indrajiths intro it takes a turn..The climax fight was dumb af..not at all needed, they could've unraveled the twist..twist was good enough but anna ben was showing off her boyfriends non praiseworthy sacrifice and skills...she was trying to give him a mass buildup which was cringy..i usually dont like mass movies and mass scenes as they are dumb .. They could've polished all those parts..overall a good watch..i would've given 8 if that climax fight was avoided.

An engaging thriller with great performances.

The movie starts off well by introducing all the characters and the 1st half hour of the movie is focussed mainly on the relationship between Georgy (Roshan) and Riya (Anna). So, after the 1st half an hour we get to the main plot and it might seem clichè but it will not disappoint you if you watch it till the end. The twists we re well executed. To me, there were no negatives to this film apart from a small, tiny buildup-like scene in the climax.
Neat and well executed

Little bit commercial yet the director didn't deviate from the story line. Neatly done
bgm is good
First half few comic portions worked well and eased the mood of the movie
Second half is good still needed little more grip in the twists
Overall good binge watch movie.
Decent thriller

The movie quickly picks up speed and keeps up the pace very well. It has light fun till interval has worked out fine. Roshan and Anna Ben does well up until the climax , with their usual natural acting. Siddique handles the antihero part very well as usual. Script is good and tight, with plenty of twists and turns. Indrajith, Shajon all done thier part very well. The Color tone looks nice and keeps the mood.
Even with a good script and director vaisakh , the movie fails to present any wow factor. When it reaches the mass part , Roshan and Anna do not have the caliber to pull it off. Indrajith supports helped to some extent in the mass scenes. BGM is horrible for most part.
Can watch once if you like thrills.

Night drive

I had much expectations for the movie because the actors are very promising along with an experienced director. But it could not break it. It was an 'okay' thriller. It was however interesting afterwards the entry of Indrajith. But the typical Vysakh climax with the cliche last scene fight and repeated color palette just destroyed the mood. With such great actors the film could have gone better. Thanks to Indrajith because he gives some moments in it which are memorable. And also the maass scenes which were intended to give goosebumps were really artificial. Also certain shots especially in the song sequence gave cringe. However it is a one time watchable movie . The actors have performed well except certain things which is imposed on them to do even if it doesn't suit them. It was an average one!!!
Good thriller

Okay(ish) thriller

Night drive is a decent movie to watch on an OTT platform. Clearly Roshan has been miscast for this role. I don't think he can do the mass masala roles cos his acting is too realitic and toned down. For instance, the final transformation scenes in the movie looks very forced. Anna Ben is just there and has nothing much to do. Indrajith brings the much needed drama and thrill to the movie, but takes a backseat in the movie in terms of character development and screen time. The overall plot of the movie is also quite weak and nonsensical, but most of the logic through the movie made sense. Decent thriller, but the young actors should choose roles in stories that suit them. This didn't work for Roshan and Anna.
Super thriller

Unsure if the film needs its realistically-performing leads (Roshan, Anna), but it's an okay watch! [+51%]

Night Drive only picks up momentum once CI Benny Moopen (Indrajith Sukumaran) enters the plot with some compelling twists to follow. Only a few of them land well, but Vysakh's attempt at a light thriller is still one of his better works, keeping that needless climax fight sequence aside. Yes, it is a somewhat toned-down version of thrillers flaunting the same premise, but it's coherent for the most part. The making is better suited to the OTT audiences than theatres, with some of the early portions not standing out.
The leads' characterization is also one of the weaker elements, with Roshan, Anna, and Indrajith all suffering from it. Also, I wouldn't say I liked how the script made the journo character a mere spectator towards the end when she could've done so much more. The music and background score were subpar. Night Drive lacks that much-needed wow factor, placing it in the category of throwaway thrillers.

This is a movie related to politics and gold smuggling. News Followers and readers can easily relate with this movie. Very well made, with perfect casting, well made screenplay, and also unpredictable twists... Indrajith, Roshan Mathew, Anna Ben, Siddique, Kailash have accomplished their roles in the utmost perfection. I would suggest everyone reading this to watch this movie at least one time.
Nice story

Mediocre movie
nicolaihans22 April 2022
The movie promises an interesting tale of corruption, redemption and nail baiting tension. However, it sorely fails to deliver. While the acting is good in parts (Roshan) the script, pace and especially the background score is sub quality - and to be plain - gets progressively annoying/unbearable as the story evolves. The movie doesn't remind you of recent high quality malayalam cinema but rather of a a mediocre attempt of yesteryears that does not keep you positively engaged in any way.
AN ABOVE AVERAGE THRILLER TO PASS ON UR TIME
PANDIAN12062117 April 2022
Starts of very well with a neat screenplay slow paced and gets intrigued towards first half also second half keeps u engaged but the climax portion could have been handled well and ended up with poor execution towards climax to make u an usual commercial flick, with nothing to keep u going...OVERALL A TIME PASS FLICK TO KILL UR TIME.

Amazing Thriller!
Asterix8311 April 2022
A nail-biting thriller by Vysakh and team. Excellent script, great direction and amazing acting. It's a story of how a bunch of ordinary people supported by an upright cop managed to thwart a powerful politician and a corrupt system. Except the unnecessary fight scene in the end, rest is a good watch.
Very predictable movie

It's a MASS thriller film.

I think the film is getting the hate due to the MASS climax it had. Even though, I too wasn't a fan of the MASS climax fight sequence, this movie is a great thriller film. And like every other film, it has it's flaws. Just give it a try. You won't regret it 👍

Not the best thriller but way better than most
rohitmenonofficial18 April 2022
I genuinely liked this movie. In simple words, this movie is like a dish that you ordered in a restaurant which wasn't the best you've ever tasted but still was good nonetheless. Most people would love a thriller movie like this. My only issue with this movie was certain plot conveniences & unnecessary sub-plots towards the end. Overall a solid movie.
The drive that does not get overboard

Warning: Spoilers
Night drive is an easy watch where the makers intent is very clear to play it low and not to outsmart viewers. The Malayalam filmmaker's fancy on media still continues where we have the female protagonist as a fierce & bold media anchor.
The start is very pretentious on capturing a running media house and it's mundane activities leading us to the female protagonist. From there it takes a while to establish key characters and as the name of the movie suggest the primary conflict appears while the couple casually plans for a night drive.
The mystery plot is dealt with dramatics, at times loud to make it evident of any twist that unfolds. The interval and post interval sequences were gripping enough to keep my eyes glued, the pacing was appreciable to a larger extent.
Almost all the characters were half baked except Roshan's who got a meaty mass role to enact in this film, though the climax fight could have been avoided because that exposed him as a miscast for this character who can go any extreme to save his love, there was a lack of vigour, anger in his eyes.
Anna Ben's performance was inconsistent, she looked blank when other characters were in action, post interval she had a plain face to all the proceedings, and the build up given to her character in the first half remains futile.
Indrajith shines in this film, even though his character's ideology fluctuates while conversing with a woman, probably that was a force bait given to Anna Ben's character to bring out the hypocrisy of patriarchy society we live in. Indrajith should have been given much more meatier role, his backstory could have detailed out for the actor to perform.
The writing is not consistent, it's gripping at times and at times it exposes the inability to take the mystery element to the next level, slating it as a mediocre harmless film.
