Good for fans of the show
bjorksjoga23 April 2010
Warning: Spoilers
The movie was disgusting. I loved it. The show was not intended for everyone, just fans of the hilarity of filth. The characters were true to themselves. I've read complaints that it was extra dirty just because it was uncensored but anyone who watched the DVDs saw it uncensored already. The reason I didn't give it a higher rating was because of the lack of Clara. If you were a fan of the television show, or if you like filthy humor see it. The special features are worth it, the explanation by the writers as to what happened was great. The other downfall of the movie however was that the characters are split up for a large part of the time. They are funniest together. Oh, and the suck my taint girl is annoying. The most subtle humor were the jokes about I.S.R.A.E.L. I miss the show. I wish it would come back on the air.

A great movie but a bit short
idoitonwheels29 April 2010
Warning: Spoilers
When I saw the preview I was really exicted to see the movie. The movie carries a slightly different atmosphere than the show and is a little more action oriented. Despite the lack of censorship in the movie I was surprised to find it seemed to be less offensive then the actual show. That being said there are lots of really funny one liners that just make you laugh uncontrolilby.

I was happy to have Seth as I.S.R.E.A.L. and all the social commentary that character brings. The films message is also something that I feel is genuine and I think a lot of other entertainment should take note of. Overall my only real problem with the film is it is too short with only about an hour.

Overall if you liked the show or are just a fan of satire and stupid humour (and I mean that in a good way) then by all means check it out.

p.s. the fact that they made parts in 3D but don't provide glasses genius!

Drawn Together R.I.P.
geometroid11 July 2010
Note: I am legally blind and cannot see 3-D, if you want to read about the 3-D aspects of this film you need to look elsewhere as I will not be commenting on them.

I will begin this review by saying that if you don't know what Drawn Together is, you probably don't care much about this movie. If you are reading this because it popped up on your recommended list then you should go back and watch the series and THEN watch this movie.

Know this though, this show (including the uncensored movie) is raunchy, I mean RAUNCHY! If you have a weak stomach, if you think that South Park is stupid or should be taken off the air, you should avoid this show like the plague. It is not for you. As a matter of fact, If you are not in favor of censorship you may STILL have your convictions pushed to the edge. This is not a show for children or weaklings.

The plot of the series (if it can be said to have one) is simple: The first animated reality show. Cartoon characters of various kinds are brought to live in a Real World style house. The characters are archetypal cartoon types from a Pikachu-type battle monster to a Betty Boop knockoff. The thing that makes this show work (at least to me) is that these are the characters when they aren't being characters. In other words, If you can imagine Daffy Duck finishing a take, going home and indulging in all the debauchery that Hollywood offers, you are starting to see what this show is like. What emerges is a post-modern mix of the real world, The Real World, the cartoon world and a mix of any other cultural reference you can possibly think of.

"So that's the series?" I hear you saying, "You're supposed to be reviewing the movie!" Well yes I am, and That brings me here.

After Futurama showed that Direct to video movies could not only lend vitality to a canceled series but might actually have the ability to drag a show back on the air, it was natural that some of the other good shows that were canceled because of network bottom lines might make it back on the air as well.

Enter Drawn Together: The Movie…The Movie, a perfect example, this series was rated number one on college campuses across the country and was canceled anyhow. It could be said that this is because TV networks don't care about smart people. See? I just said it, so it can be said! This Direct to DVD movie takes the philosophical fight right to the producers. The Drawn Together Gang has to travel to Make-a-point land to get a point, because the racist/gay/violent/sexual humor of the show seems to have no point. Along the way they have a number of interesting moments (including a moment when the cast listens to the DVD commentary to escape a bad situation) and meet some strange (I mean REALLY strange) characters such as a very strange little girl and a giant that craps into his own mouth.

The only questions that really matter here are 1) Does the movie live up to the series 2) Can you sustain a show that usually has 22 minutes of content for an 80 minute movie. The most important question to the fans is "Can this movie bring Drawn Together back on the air?" The answer to the first two questions is a qualified "Yes". If you are a fan of this show you've probably watched Drawn Together episodes back to back on the DVDs, this just saves you from having to do that. As to the latter, the story actually does drag on a bit, however the writers seem perfectly aware of this - one of the characters even asks "Is there a Wrap-this-up-already land??" The answer to the third question is "NO". The movie is done in Flash which alienated some viewers. It needs to be said that the creators of Drawn Together were doing a movie for half the budget of one episode of the series and they did it fairly well. This was obviously done by the network (a network too cheap to provide 3-D glasses for a 3-D movie) to destroy the show forever.

I think they have, 80 minutes of writing on an 11 minute budget shows and the writers should not be blamed for it.

To end on a positive (kinda) note though, fans DO get closure in this movie, there is an end.

R.I.P. Drawn Together.

Warning: Spoilers
Wow This Movie is Bad. The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie is a 2010 Animated Comedy Based on The Comedy Central TV Series Drawn Together which ran from 2004-2007. I Never watched show but I have watched some clips of the show on YouTube. I first heard of this Movie from Mr. Enter back in October 2015 and he trashed the movie & I Have watched this movie three times because of him and this Movie is Just Garbage. The Movie is about the Drawn Together gang finding out they have been Cancelled and try to go to "Make A Point Land". The Movie has crass humor which I do like but this Movie has too much Crass Humor. The Character Wooldoor Sockbat shows his penis which was very disgusting. The Fact that this Movie has Great Voice Talents Like Tara Strong, Jess Harnell, Cree Summer and James Arnold Taylor in this trash heep is sad. The Movie also Stars Seth MacFarlane as I.S.R.A.E.L. for some reason. Anyway The Drawn Together Movie: The Movie is Just Garbage. 0/10

Good watch for fans and non-fans alike
papermariomaster15 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Drawn together may get a lot of hate. But personally, I feel that MOST (key word is most, not all) of the hate is undeserved. Let me explain why I think this movie is better than most give it credit for.

Firstly, the humor in this movie is very good: it contains my in-jokes and references for fans of the show, and contains enough sexual content to satisfy even the most depraved of perverts. However, if you're not a fan of sexual humour / dirty jokes, you might not think the humour in this film to be the best. Even still, the jokes in this movie are unique, off the wall, and well thought out: many of them had me in tears.

Secondly, the characters are all lovable and creatively designed. I feel that they near- perfectly represent the stereotypes of animation: from spanky, who represents internet animation, to Clara, a twisted version of a damsel in distress, and wooldorf, an adult version of Spongebob; I think this movie hits the nail on the head from a parody standpoint. In addition, these characters also play off each other nicely, leading to some interesting conflicts and situations.

Thirdly, the use of nudity in this film adds to the atmosphere. Drawn together was not a series meant for kids, and when this movie got the freedom to put in nudity: it really complemented the tone nicely. While the nudity is not overused, I think it's also a bit underused: if I was the writer for this movie, i would definitely make sure to add in more nudity and sexual content. Nonetheless, it's a great addition to the film, and, as said before, adds very nicely to the atmosphere.

So, now that we've discussed the good things, let's move on to the bad things.

The animation is subpar: as with most flash animated shows, the animation can look stilted and cheap at times. While it is not evident during most of the film, there are definitely some moments where the characters could use more emotion or fluidity. This, however, is a minor complaint, and it did not in any way stop me from enjoying this film.

Some of the characters can be predictable: while this doesn't make the movie unwatchable, it is a pet-peeve of mine to see one-dimensional characters. For example, all the jokes about captain hero revolve around him being useless, and he has barely any lines to give him depth or make up for that. In addition, I feel that out of all the main cast, spanky lacks the most when it comes to having a story arc: his character isn't very fleshed out, and he's thrown to the wayside and used only for one off gags.

The sex scene is kinda lame: I was looking forward to this the whole time I was watching through the movie, only to have a 1 minute clip. I feel it shouldn't have been advertised on the back of the box to the point that it was: which would have been acceptable if it was… let's say… around 5 minutes in length. In short, it was a letdown.

Some scenes lack tension or are just flat out filler: the first 15 minutes of this film lack any sort of buildup and don't give the audience any useful information. It's just the writers padding out the run time with jokes and redundant dialogue. In addition, there are many scenes which could've been trimmed down to allow more room for the main plot to unfold.

All in all, I'd say this movie is worth watching. Just don't have very high expectations for it, because even for fans of the show, it won't be the best thing in the world.

Final score: 6.2/10

Profound Disappointment
JoeB13119 May 2010
Warning: Spoilers
I was a fan of Drawn Together, so I say this with a heavy heart.

This just wasn't funny. I think the fact that they could go all out with profanity and nudity just meant that they figured they didn't need to try as hard on actually trying to be funny.

The plot was that the characters figure out that their "reality show" has been canceled since the bad words are no longer bleeped out and their sex organs are no longer pixilated. They also realize that they are bad parodies of real cartoon characters. A shadowy network executive wants them "erased", only to be spared by the producer. They run from a terminator robot ironically named ISRAEL ("ISRAEL has the right to exist!") and run through a series of not really funny gags.

A subplot involves a South Park like character that took their time slot, by being just as obscene, but having "a point". (Here's a point. South Park is actually funny! Drawn Together is like a kid who learned a bad word and repeats it until he gets slapped.)

The rest is more of the same. Captain Hero has sex with a corpse and Xandir gets jealous. Foxy gets naked. Clara acts all obnoxious (and is apparently killed off in the movie.)

I think that the producers perhaps made an unfunny film to stop any clamoring for more. I've had enough.

Good for a few laughs
drourke20 April 2010
While not surpassing the original show, the movie was pretty decent. Dave Jesser and Matt Silverstein are great comedic writers and still managed to put together a solid reminder of what Drawn Together once was. There were still plenty of good jokes written from each characters perspective. The animation was almost where it was during the television series. Xander in general as a character seemed to be a bit off, i don't know what the deal was there. I hope this is a beginning to the show getting a re-hash for at least one season. I had also hoped there would be more 10 per center jokes (jokes that only 10% of the people off the street who watch the show understand) but maybe this was them trying to branch out and get a larger audience to possibly rent or buy the film.

All and all I give this film a 7/10. It's not for everyone and never will be... but if you have a sense of a humor and aren't afraid to laugh at what many would consider morally repulsive then you will think watching this was worth your time.

If anything, you'll be impressed by Hero's new fine-ass lady friend.

Greatest Show Ever Ruined By Movie

Warning: Spoilers
Drawn Together Season One...nothing ever seen before...Drawn Together Season 2...great show continuing...Drawn Together Season 3 Final...Let down knowing it was canceled. When I heard a movie was coming out I jumped for joy knowing this could be it, this could be their break and maybe they could slip back to T.V...but I was wrong, this movie made me never look at Drawn Together the same, I was disappointed and ashamed to say that I actually liked this T.V Show. The 3D sex scene with Toot and Foxxy along with another girl in the club was not needed for and Captain Hero's passion with a dead corpse was I must admit funny but there's a time and a place for everything, for those drawn together fans who think this is will be like the T.V Show, it won't, it's tasteless and it seems the producers are heading into porn and not to what was once a great TV show. I am very sorry to write this review because I too am a great Drawn Together Fan but I am warning the fans by telling them to not get their hopes up, I apologize Drawn Together...but I just hope you can return to being funny once more.

TOO MUCH but I loved it
peelbacks-720-72001122 April 2010
Warning: Spoilers
I just finished watching the movie and all the great, special features. Yes, they actually added decent special features and interviews. It's going to take a couple days to digest everything I just heard and seen. But WE LOVED IT! Amazing, hilarious, brilliant and therapy enhancing. It was an injection of pure, Drawn Together fist action. We thought it was as worthy as ATHF's movie and South Park Bigger, Larger, Uncut... Of course, if you loved the t.v. show, the movie will be like Christmas Day. You get all the language and tits that you want. If blood is your thing, that's included. I need to watch this a few times. I see something new every time. This is a MUST BUY/MUST SEE movie.

A Giant Middle Finger To Comedy Central, And The Show's Fans
garysjwa22 May 2010
Warning: Spoilers
When Family Guy and Futurama were brought back after cancellation, each took a sharp jab at the network that canceled them. The Drawn Together creators seem to have devoted this entire DVD to venting their spleens at Comedy Central over their cancellation.

The movie starts promisingly. The Drawn Together gang don't realize their show has been canceled; The Jew Producer still puts them through humiliating challenges for his own perverse amusement; and, in a nice continuity nod, a nameless network executive seeks revenge against the cast for reasons relating to the infamous "Hot Tub" episode. Carrying out the order to kill is a robot named I.S.R.A.E.L. who refers to itself on the third person, leading to lots of gags like "Israel gets blamed for everything." So far so good.

Act II is when everything falls apart. The gang learns their show has been replaced by Suck My Taint Girl, an obvious shot at South Park, and the excoriation of Comedy Central begins.

Suck My Taint Girl does a long, tedious, vulgar musical number, apparently to make the point that South Park does long, tedious, vulgar musical numbers. She then explains to Drawn Together that they can't be offensive unless they have a clumsily tacked-on point, as though this were the only difference between Drawn Together and South Park.

Then they go on an adventure to Make-A-Point Land, which is such a ripoff of South Park's Imaginationland that I looked for Trey Parker's name in the credits. Then it turns out Taint Girl was on the side of the evil corporate executive all along. And on and on it goes. It's not so much bashing South Park as it is the Drawn Together staff expressing their feelings about being dropped in favor of South Park, like some bitter high school kid who didn't get the lead in the school play.

As further proof that this movie is nothing but a giant middle finger to Comedy Central -- who produced and released it, by the way -- watch the DVD extras. They're full of the same. One issue that comes up a lot is the failure to include 3-D glasses for the 3-D scenes; Comedy Central is accused of being too cheap. I suspect the real issue was that the 3-D scenes were of Toot Braunstein having sex.

Back to the movie: the cast goes through adventures and meet fates that are random and horrible and make no sense, even by this show's standards. Act III is pretty much a rewrite of the "Entertainment Weekly" episode, with Spanky Ham once again the voice of reason. But by the time he says "Can we leave Make-A-Point Land and go to Wrap-It-Up-Already Land", you'll agree.

If you're a fan of the show, and you're looking for a better ending to Drawn Together, the last thing you watch should be the "confessionals" DVD extra. Most of the voice actors appear to express their love for Drawn Together and their desire for it to continue. It's a sad, but more meaningful ending to the series -- since there's no chance it will survive this selfish, incompetent mess of a movie.

Complete piece of fecal matter
ax_25034 November 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Only giving it one because I can't give it zero. I enjoyed the series, but this movie is lazy, offensive garbage. Avoid at all costs. The writers have obviously run out of ideas and tried, stupidly, to just be shocking. A miserable fail. The comedy was always derivative, but the writers at least put in some relevant social commentary. I did not expect much character development. I did, at minimum, expect they could deliver some familiar, rehashed jokes. I think they knew that the series would never come back and decided not to put much effort in. Ha ha, killing defenseless animals is fun. Ha ha, sexual self-gratification is fun. It looks like a bunch of 12 year old boys put all their foulest ideas in and someone was dumb enough to make a movie of it.

Show was great but movie is spectacular
dregj14 December 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I am a huge fan of the TV show drawn together it gleefully had absolutely no shame, no taste ,no boundaries, no borders and truly didn't care who it offended.Racism ,sexism, scrapping the bottom of the barrel of hate mongering gleefully in the name of comedy. And now its a film ,one of the best of the year. And now we get drawn together as it was truly meant to be ,no censors no bleep on naughty words utter offensive disgusting disturbing intelligent comedy that doesn't get all preachy like south park. It gets to make the jokes no one on gods green and verdant earth would ever get away with .And then it goes even further,to say it pushes the boundaries of good taste would be a lie it smashes the hell out of the boundaries and does so with a huge smile on its face as it does so. It deserves its place in the annals of TV comedy legends .

watch enjoy and love

Not as good as the show
beavisintheflesh22 December 2021
Drawn Together the show is just nonstop twisted fun. This movie however, loses that fun carefree spirit of the show and is pretty much bitter and kind of a buzzkill. The characters have also suffered, they are not used to their fullest potential and are reduced to one note jokes. For example, even though Captain Hero is a necro in the original show, he also has other weird hobbies and crazy characteristics. Here, he just mushes up on a dead chick the whole time. And ironically, this movie is kinda preachy, something the original show has almost never been. Now there are some laughs to be had and a few good jokes, but overall it's just a disappointment and kinda bland from a show where anything goes.

Not as good as the series, but still worth watching!
evolinag7 July 2011
This movie mostly received negative reviews, but i don't understand why. It was quite funny, though you can't compare it to the series. The series spoofs several other series and movies, while the movie mainly spoofs "Drawn Together" itself.

The movie is a bad-taste-comedy, that for sure, and people who only laugh about intelligent humor won't find this film funny. But the fans of DT will know the humor.

I know some people think this movie should be rated NC-17, but i think it's an absolute R rating. There is nudity, but it is not represented in a sexual way. And there is sex, but without nudity. This is not a porn movie or something. The violence in this movie is very comical, though bloody, but i think if the movie would have no sexuality and only violence it would have been rated PG-13. There is frequent sexual language and profanity but it is not stronger than in Jay and Silent Bob, which had the R-rating. Actually i think this movie's BBFC rating would be rather 15 than 18.

The animation style may is not as good as the series' animation style, but it is not as terrible as anyone says.

The plot starts with a very good idea - but it gets really weird and strange around half of the movie.

I think the movie is worth watching and i found it good, though i prefer the series.

Fans may like this, Newcomers probably won't.
kurtanIMDBguy31 January 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This Movie expects the viewer to be familiar with DRAWN TOGETHER, otherwise most characters and interactions won't be obvious or at times make much sense. Technically the movie's as proficient as the original series, though at times FLASH animation shortcuts and/or use of After Effects stock effects are blatantly obvious. Rating-wise, an NC-17 or at very least a hard R seems appropriate. Story-wise, the movie tries to cram many gross acts and foul language between plot turns and a few genuinely clever comments or satires on other movies and/or characters. Tasteless and pointless were Captain Hero's sex acts with a dead woman, the "S__t in my mouth" monster, and the "crush" scene where the cast stamps out puppies and kittens (mostly but not always out of view). The commentaries add some interest, while the few deleted scenes show very little was cut from the finished product. The original series was sharper and funnier than this weak series wrap-up, which this viewer bought used and on the cheap.

Breaks the cardinal rule of comedy: it's just not funny.
krachtm10 March 2011
I've never seen the TV series, and, after watching about half of this movie, I don't want to. I had heard of the TV series, but I thought it was some stupid kids' show. Then I heard it was more like an amusingly racist and homophobic show. I thought, "Well, that could be funny." The problem is that it's not.

I don't care if the show is anti-semitic, racist, homophobic, pornographic, misogynist and gross, as long as it has jokes that make me laugh. I never laughed once. It wasn't because I was too offended or I thought they went too far. No. I thought the jokes were very poorly written, like they were copying the most generic, derivative jokes they could find from 4chan and fark. They're cartoons, but they CURSE! Isn't that crazy?! And they sometimes show their GENITALIA! I've never heard of a cartoon like that before! And, get this, one of the characters is named JEW PRODUCER!!!! It's hilarious! Or not.

Unfortunately, that's the entire sum of their wit. The jokes never get any better, and the humor never becomes less generic. I've seen this all before, and I've seen it done better. I've also seen it done more offensively, so don't even try to complain that I was too offended or something.

If this had actually been funny, I'd have given it a higher rating, but the writers are pathetically lame. It's no wonder that their show was actually cancelled.

Funny
FactsLogic23 December 2014
The movie was a big FU to comedy central.

This show put South park to shame.

The point of the movie was how south park seems to get away with gross humor so long as they make a point.

Similar to how south park criticizes Family guy for using cutaways.

Drawn together criticizes south parks on it's manic pursuit of current events and politics.

While most people seem to hate on Simpsons and FG primarily because the shows are popular, south park is often given a free pass even though it's quality has gone down in years.

This sickening movie should be banned!
calvind-419 December 2015
I've sat through the epic-turned-porn Caligula, and THIS is what grinds my gears so badly. This is, beyond doubt and reservation, the WORST movie I have ever seen. Not only is there not a single likable character in this movie, but there also isn't a single scene that leaves you with anything better than a vague sense of discomfort after viewing it, most of which inspire active anger and pain. There is absolutely nothing in this movie worth seeing. Even if you just want to be titillated by the genitalia, don't waste your time; it isn't remotely titillating, it's just there. From what I can gather, this movie tries to be a scathing commentary on American censorship. But all it comes out as is a scathing commentary on the libidos and frat-boy mentality of Matt and Dave. I don't know what these guys were on when they wrote this script, but even Matt Stone and Trey Parker could've done a far better job.

The gist of the movie stems from the TV show about eight cartoon characters in a kind of reality show setting: Foxxy (played by Cree Summer - I haven't been able to watch My Life as a Teenage Robot since), Princess Clara (played by Tara Strong - I've only barely been able to watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic since), Wooldoor (supposedly a Spongebob expy, but certainly doesn't act like it), Captain Hero (who exhibits a horrifying necrophilia throughout), Spanky Ham (who inexplicably reminds me of Squigley from Sinfest), Toot (who has somehow been impregnated by Barney Rubble), Xandir and Ling-Ling. Foxxy surmises that their show is off-air when she realises that nothing is being censored anymore - which would only make sense from the perspective that it was still on TV and the uncensored DVDs weren't available yet. It transpires that their CEO is trying to remove them from existence with a machine called ISRAEL (why call it that anyway? What's the point??), but their producer tries to help them escape. The film takes jabs at the producer being Jewish, at one point having him bother his neighbour to press the call button on his phone for him on account of it being Shabbat. Uh huh. Why he even had his phone on for the occasion, I cannot imagine. Anyway, the whole thing takes the housemates on a rampage across the desert into a cheap imitation of Disney animation into some kind of stage show with a South Park version of Baby June from 'Gypsy', through which many pointless attempts at making penises funny and the vehicular manslaughter of several beloved and respected cartoon characters occur. It actually gets worse in the last half-hour, with an animated sex scene in 3D, which, while not as hardcore as I'd feared, still is a psychedelic mind-rape that drags on for too long and again is not remotely titillating, after which the remaining housemates fly to Make-a-Point Land where they're greeted by a tornado of Foxxy's abortions, a wretched giant whose rostrum deposits waste into his mouth, and yes, more erection gags, proving once again that Matt and Dave have no limits when it comes to pointless and senseless exhibitionism.

I HATE this movie with a passion. I feel STUPIDER for having even attempted to sit through this disgusting, misleading, irresponsible film that should never have been made. To paraphrase the Cinema Snob, maybe that'll work out in future when I watch cruder films like Showgirls or Gross Out, because guess what: half of my brain is now missing!!

A bizarre, grotesque and dignified ending to the animated series
Elvis-Del-Valle23 March 2023
This movie gives the animated series a crazy and worthy end to the animated series with its paradoxes and breaking the fourth wall. It follows the humor and satire of the original series while leaving the reality show format aside and focusing more on its reason for existing. A film whose message is that making adult animation is not just social criticism, but part of creative freedom. With a far-fetched, unrealistic plot and pretty smooth animation, this movie is a great sendoff to what was another of the best adult animated series ever made in history. My final rating for this movie is 9/10.

Ehm, weird. Very weird!
paul_haakonsen18 May 2010
Not being familiar with the "Drawn Together" stuff prior to this animated movie, I had no expectations. I just thought it was going to be some funny cartoon. It was rather funny, and good to see some spoof on cartoons (both old and new).

The story is as expected of such a movie, straight forward and hilarious.

Lots of really funny situations and dialogue in this animated movie. However, it should be said that there are things that might offend some viewers. So if you are of a delicate mind or mentality, perhaps this is not the movie to watch.

Now, for me at least, this was not a movie that I will be watching a second time. Sure it was funny the first time around, but I don't see the potential of additional viewings.

Not much of a brainer here, just in-your-face-and-over-the-edge animated comedy here. Good for an evening of brainless fun and relaxation.

Probably the worst straight to DVD animated film ever

Wow, it has been a long time since I heard of this series and apparently for good reason. This film is the reason why most shows deserve to get canceled and left to die. I have watched the entire original series and was somewhat amused by it. The show was witty without a message and some points funny with over the top gross out humor. But this film took everything from the show that was somewhat good and screwed it up. I can't believe whoever made this movie was considering that the sales of this film could revive the show. The film contains even more over the top jokes and swearing simply because it is a direct to DVD film and doesn't have to worry about network censorship. This would be fine but all of the jokes in here are either unfunny or just plain disgusting. The show definitely had these kinds of jokes but they were tame considered to the things in here. I will admit that I am not a huge fan of the show and really hated how they ended it. But in my eyes the show had a good run and should have simply gone away in peace. Much better shows have been canceled at a short run and deserve a second chance, but not this show. Now this film is simply moronic in its approach and execution. The film constantly jumps around from scene to scene in a relentless manner and the story keeps getting more and more drawn out (no pun intended) along the way. Now the scene jumping would be fine if it had any sort of flow or order. But in this film they are so random that it becomes very hard to follow what is going on in the film. It does leave some interest as the viewer tries to figure out what is going on. But overall it gets old very fast. The story line in this film is pretty simple but way too convoluted for no reason. I simply didn't enjoy the movie as much as the show and felt that this was truly a half-hearted attempt to make a quick buck. I was really hoping for something more funny and entertaining of a send off in here. But it never came along and when I saw that ending I was really ticked. This film is not for everyone, even if you are a fan of the show. I definitely don't recommend it to people that are unfamiliar with the show as it would simply confuse them. The film gives no explanation at who the main characters are or why we should even care for them. These elements are from the show and only someone familiar with the show would be able to stomach the lame humor and fart jokes sprinkled through this movie.

My final review score is a 2 out of 10. The film simple didn't entertain me on any level and only reinforced all the things I hated about the show. Now if you enjoy lame jokes and over the top fart jokes then this may be a film you would want to RENT. But never buy it since it would only encourage the producers of this film to make another movie or revive the series. Everyone else should just avoid this film entirely.

There are no words

I'm fairly indifferent to the show Drawn Together. It did exactly what it wanted to do during it's run: be as raunchy, offensive, and disgusting as a cartoon could be. That being said however, it did have some actually funny moments. But this movie is something else entirely. I've haven't been this disgusted and annoyed by a movie in quite some time. The main idea of this movie is that shows should be allowed to be as gross and shocking as they want to be, as if that's the only reason Drawn Together was cancelled. It also takes time to insult South Park by implying that the only difference between the two shows is that South Park has social commentary. Drawn Together, the difference between you and South Park is South Park is actually genuinely funny and has good writing. South Park has characters that can bring common sense into their crazy world. Drawn Together is a show of jerks being jerks to each other in a world of jerks with no balance to it whatsoever. There is a HUGE difference between you and South Park, and the fact that they even brought them into this train-wreck of a movie is an insult to Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The gross-out and gore in this is downright nauseating. Every minute, something bloody, pussy, and feces-related is being shoved in your face. Needless to say, don't watch this after eating. Or while eating. Or if you ever want to eat again. The animation is also awful. It's another production that thinks that using flash animation is an excuse to be lazy. Flash animation is a great tool. It allows you to animate faster so you can animate more to a degree that it can look better than traditional hand-drawn animation. For an example, look at seasons 4 and 5 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Here, it's a stilted, uncanny mess that looks like it's going to break down at any second. Everything about this movie just angers me. It angers me that three years after being canceled, the creators of this show think they drop a big giant middle finger on their fans and expect them to like it. It angers me that they would have the audacity to compare themselves to a much better show. It angers me that these talented voice actors like Cree Summer, Jess Harnell, and Tara Strong had a part in this. No words are able to describe how terrible this movie is. It's terrible in every sense of the word. No plot, no effort, no substance, just pain. Plain, unadulterated pain. Avoid this movie like the plague. But seeing most fans of the show seem to hate this, you probably already are.

Not very funny

I liked the show a lot, but was disappointed in this movie. I chuckled a couple times but in general found it boring / headache inducing.

If I had to use one word to describe the apparent production attitude, it would be: lazy.
