Not quite sure what I've started watching but I do know that I like it. Very solid scifi. Great world building, interesting characters and wholly original. Let's see where it goes.

Strong Character driven sci fi

Really liking the characters in this unique sci fi. It seems to focus on familial relationships and character building over world building. That's not to say the world building in subpar I'm highly interested in this utopian colony on the moon and the murder mystery that's unfolding. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.

In order for this show to become watchable the writers need to pick a direction or maybe it's better to say style. It is all over the board. An excellent example is in the beginging we see a murder solved in a matter of a few minutes using technology. Then later the pilot is reading a paperback instead of using some sort of kindle. And because of how long or rough of a ride from the moon to earth the passengers must go into some sort of deep sleep or hibernation to make the trip. Really? When Apollo made the trip they didn't have to do that. You would think in the future it would be even easier.
One other thing. It's weird that the people don't know how their own law enforcement works.

I must caution this with the fact I am a proud nerd and massive sci fi fan! The world building on display here is outstanding, moonhaven feels lived in and it's not been based on a book or comic, it's totally new - squeal!
I am already behind the characters and their eccentricities. I love the technology - the chancellor is really cool. I am a big fan of the singing and the language choices if anything I wish they had developed an entirely new language. The scene past the wall was oddly compelling. Overall, I'm really into Moonhaven.

I gave up around the halfway mark as 'Hippy commune on the Moon' was not for me - twas like looking at students on a gap year who discover hummus and really get into interpretive dance to find themselves.
There are way better shows to spend your precious time on, this is not one of them.
Avoid.
