In this episode, Emily seeks out help on her poetry from Walt Whitman while the other characters deal with the Civil War. It felt a lot like a season one episode as Emily is once again learning from another famous American figure. This episode starts a little slow, but it quickly picks up the pace and never looks back. And I love the way this episode ended. It was so cute. Hailee's performance is simply amazing. She also looks stunning as always. The new blues dress of season 3 is just another example of the great costume designs that the show has. I just wish the show was a little longer so the side characters' stories could be more developed. But it is still a great show, and I can't wait for next week.

Unwatchable

Possibly the worst episode of a once promising series. The portrayal of Walt Whitman as a braying ninny is a new low. It was unwatchable. Hard to rise above Eichner's misguided performance with a subplot about fleas.
