Warning: Spoilers
Is that it?Paul goes on the run, comes back and the police let him go because of...something we've known all along. He didn't kill Jill but he was still responsible for her death yet somehow he's hailed as a hero because he rang an ambulance before running off and leaving her to die.Or is it as simple as that?Michaela reminds us that he still skipped bail and Libby and Dan's comments on Paul's legal status are somewhat vague. The Ramsay kids get some half-decent material and we get some sort of explanation for where their father is.Kate and Sophie seem to be in a better place after this experience although Harry is still doing his angry young man act. They'll probably swap round next episode. When did the Ramsays learn Paul was Jill's half-brother?It's been a big part of the police investigation but we've never seen any sort of reaction from them to the news.Yet here Paul just drops it into conversation...and they still don't react.

The only other thing that's given any screen time is Susan's sudden desire to be a grandmother and be as involved in the birth as possible. It's with typical subtlety and lack thereof that both Libby and Steve start making big speeches about how much daughters rely on their fathers just as Karl's been asked to go to ridiculous lengths to make his daughter happy. And then Susan does her usual job of thinking she knows best and goes back on her word to Karl.Ho-hum.
