Hey Quincy

This series is going from strength to strength. Writer J. M. Holmes and Director Christopher Schrewe are following 4 different story lines in a single episode and doing so masterfully. There is also some much-needed humor in the writing, mostly coming from Jackie Rohr's (Kevin Bacon) character.

Jackie is gifted a BMW 5 Series from his employer, Corbin Bernsen (who is an excellent addition this season) and when he drives it home his wife, terrifically portrayed by Jill Hennessy, asks if he stole a car? "No," says Jackie, "I won first prize." "For what," asks his wife? "For being Jackie Rohr," says Jackie.

Aldis Hodge (DeCourcy Ward) is also excellent in dealing with his dying father. There is also a theme developing with Jackie and DeCourcy meeting at their local watering hole. The dialogue between the two characters and the chemistry between the two actors is outstanding.

Tom Atkins

"The good news is your dates are here. The bad news is... they're dead." I have remembered that quote since I saw the movie in the late 1980s. Tom Atkins said it and unless you didn't watch TV or see any movies in the last 50 years, you would know the man. I think IMDB owes him an apology. When you click on his name because you know his face and remember that quote and it brings you to a page where he has only one credit, you realize a crime has been committed.

Aside from that, I loved the episode. You just know Jackie is going to do the right thing, regardless of how it affects him.

How about you, IMDB? Tom deserves better.

Know your cast

Was aghast when I checked the cast listing for this episode and discovered that Tom Atkins, the actor playing Jenny Rhors father - no picture, was known for... City on a Hill. The man's been acting more than half a century. Honest. Google him. You can do better.

THE SHARK HAS BEEN JUMPED...

Warning: Spoilers
I loved season one, and the beginning of season 2, but; it's gone WAYYYY down hill from then...I DON'T CARE about D's wife, her mother, Rohr's wife, her father, their kid, their kid's boyfriend...The anti cop, black victimhood message is ridiculously overbearing...

I'm not sure who's running this agenda but it ruins EVERYTHING.... Go woke go broke...This review goes mostly for episode 3, but; it's relevant to the direction the series has taken;

Spoiler; The Irish cop gets shot in the head...Not the good tall guy...Who cares what their names are!
