Typical action revenge flick
Sirfaro1113 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This exemplifies a typical Filipino action film in the 80's (heck, even now , things did not change much!) . Manolo , played by Jess Lapid Jr, was placed in danger after his family was killed. Recovering from serious injuries, he was nursed back to health by Jenny, played by Monica Hererra. The two eventually fell in love, but Manolo still has his wife in his mind.

When Manolo gets well enough, he hunted the killers one by one, breaking the law along the way. He eventually discovers that his friend Boyet (Roy Alvarez) was behind the murder. Before Manolo attacks the hideout, there was a (necessary) love scene between the leading man and his lady.

Manolo decides to take revenge by himself , without any plan, and armed with only a gun, sneaked into the house with dozens of armed men. He was caught and gets tortured. First he was bound on 4 extremities and dipped into the pool before being pulled on 4 sides to resurface above water, almost out of breathe. Onlookers gleefully laugh as this happens. Then, he was punched to no end while hanging with 2 hands bound over his head.

Luckily, his girlfriend was courageous (but not smart) enough to go after him, alone. He gets rescued and ala Die Hard (although this came before Bruce Willis) with guns and grenades, single-handedly destroying the enemies, while shirtless glistening with sweat. He gets off easy at the end, with a monologue. The end.

Entertaining? Passable. Something to remember youthful days by.
