Unique, bizarre but not always engaging.
Perspicuity126 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
WHAT WORKS :

1. The acting performances are quite good. Vijay Verma, Radhika Apte and Ratnabali Bhattacharjee have all performed very well, but two actors who deserve a special mention for the goofiness and humour they add to the show with their portrayal of their respective characters are Kani Kusruti playing Monalisa and Sarang Sathaye playing Ashfaq. Both characters are extremely hilarious to watch.

2. At regular intervals, we get expositions by the lead actors of the show and also some well-known celebrities, which was mostly enjoyable. The tone of the characters was sarcastic and satirical, which made it fun to watch.

3. Through its story, OK Computer also indulges in social commentary and talks about the bizarre things that we have normalized in our society. All this is said in a very comical way, with every dialogue laced with sarcasm, making it quite enjoyable to watch. Truth often has to come out in the form of satire, and this show does that, which is definitely a positive aspect of the series.

4. Some of the special effects and set designs were really good for an Indian show. One also needs to keep in mind that it's not a movie and there are no big stars in it, so they probably had a lot of budget constraints, and despite that they managed to create a believable sci-fi world, for that they deserve a lot of praise.

WHAT DOESN'T WORK :

1. The show starts at a very slow pace. Eventually it picks up speed, but generally speaking the show is not paced very well. Proceedings move at a very leisurely pace. It's not an easy show to watch.

2. The series is set in 2031, where we have fully functioning robots doing things for us, but the models seem to be lifted from the 1980's. I know it would be quite expensive to design and create high tech robot models for a show, but what we had in the show were not up to the mark either.

3. The exposition by lead characters was enjoyable but not always, at times it went on for too long, turning the series into a documentary. "Show, don't tell"....people need to experience the story, a narration is not always necessary.

4. The show often comes across as a mess because it tries to be too many things. In fact, at times as a viewer you get the feeling that even the show doesn't know what it wants to become or what kind of story it wants to narrate.

Just like CNX, the creator of the show has presented this show to us as an experiment, where we are supposed to analyze, interpret and make sense of it. The showrunners definitely deserve credit for creating something very unique. However bizarre it may be, a show like this hasn't been attempted before in India. To conclude I would say that OK Computer is different but not very engaging.

High on creativity, , Low on execution

Mix feelings as Ship of Theseus creator is associated with this work too .

One was perfect example of pure bliss of opera symphony and this one feel like EDM - music without soul .

Hope all quirky actors like established Aptes, Varmas to not so wellknown Kanis and Sathyes get bigger international fame along with directors and writers in future work.

Tried hard but failed
sameerlodaya27 March 2021
Now this series comes from a cult cinema maker mr anand gandhi

They really tried and worked very hard thto make such a sci fi creation and that can be feel andseen the props they used like robots vehicles drones screens were very good and gave a good technological sci fi punch

The series is in 6 episodes of murder mystery in a sci fi world the direction was well executed with the script only a good editing was required as manier time it was dragged and boring..vijay Radhika and others acted good

Now the negative points like humor they tried to be dark but it didn't helped..the series is executed in a tough manner where some scenes and climax was very difficult to understand..as you have introduced new concept in Indian market you have to go Little easy and explanatory for better understanding so that this type of fiction is well accepted in future..makers released this series on a peak weekend where 4 series and 2 movies are released simultaneously thus it doesn't give the patience to understand

It's a 50/50 concept.

Reason why bollywo is not ready for this step.
amangoyal-4014026 March 2021
We all have been dreaming that web series revolution would bring change to this industry. But will it really? The characters try too hard to convince us that future lifestyle is nothing new to them. Trying to look funny when they are not, and not trying to look funny when they are, are another two, reflexti why we might not get a decent comedy even this year. Worst of all, plot and characters: as basic and predictable as could be. Rushed at what should've been detailed. Overlong what was implied didn't need to be told. We are audiences. We aren't as foolish that you repeat exposition elements a dozen times. Go and watch anything else over it. It's utter nonsense.

Radhika Apte is wasted in this useless/boring web series. I feel bad for the editors of this series. I couldn't watch this. I am sorry.

Too experimental for Indian audiences
deepagoyal-226 April 2021
Seems to be a funny interpretation of Tales from the Loop, this show is quite funny and interesting. There's rarely any sci-fi in india since its a rom-com only audience. But this was quite beautiful in its buildup of characters, great actors and well written dialogues.

Intolerable
bhupinder_sidhu29 March 2021
I'm surprised why this series has been made & more surprising why Hotstar approved it. You just can't tolerate it beyond ten minutes.

Step in the right direction!!! Beware of negative reviews !!
aditya-iist7 April 2021
Firsty one cannot deny the original content and quite a good screenplay. Story is quite interesting and deserves second part. Acting is also well done.

Satirical humour is abundant and the social and idealogical commentry is also present but it doesn't makes it boring in any way.

Cringy jokes are there but there is more content to laugh as well.

Doesn't try to make VFX CGI and compete with Hollywood in it. Whatever is there is convincing enough and lot of efforts are made to look it that way.

I don't know why people are discrediting a good piece of content.

Many people are saying what a waste of time!! Cannot tolerate it !! Really ??? Try see your perfect life !!

India directly want Hollywood level series without some intermediate efforts? Think about it !!!

A path breaking Indian Series?
swarnavasen27 March 2021
Anand Gandhi, the name that made me so excited for this series, has created two of the greatest Indian films. Now, I was happy with the trailer that it's gonna be a thriller with a pinch of sci fi and comedy. And yes it is a comedy, but not a typical thriller. The plot may seem like IRobot, but it's not. It's a lot sillier than that, yet complicated. There's a lot of dark humour which is not suitable for the mass. The style is inspired from Office. The performances are good but not extraordinary. The technical aspects are really good as we witnessed earlier in Tumbaad. There are social messages and contemporary comments throughout the series. It's like a part mockumentary, part sci fi and part crime. I can't say that it's as good as the other works by Gandhi, but it's an experiment and I fully enjoined the series.

Good attempt
zkzuber3 April 2021
I was confused by reviews so decided to check myself. Its interesting they tried to make something different and did achieve it. Only glitch is can't digest India can reach that level in 2030 shown in the series. Sarcasm is at high level IT cell and a.bhakt will not like it. It's worth watching , liked the one liners .

Tries to be so many things but fails at everything
perlshop2 April 2021
It tries to do so many things and fails flat at almost everything. I try to watch Indian serials with an open mind and I'm so happy to see that finally we are at least trying. But this is just boring beyond belief. I could not even muster up pity laughs for this - it's so all over the place. Even Leila was better than this (facepalm).

I liked the graphics. It's at par at with Dr. Who (2005), maybe even better sometimes. The actors are excellent too. The problem is the most basic. There is just no story or direction or anything to keep you hooked. So much talent, cgi wasted over nothing. It's time we started hiring good story writers too.

First episode was good, rest is garbage. This happens when you bring in loosers like Kamra and Tanmay. The robot Ajeeb is damn irritating.

This Series requires Mature Audience. Not for Masala movie Watchers
shamimjobme13 April 2021
This series explored many Genres, Sci Fi, Dark Comedy & Mockumentary.

Those peoples who are not liking this series are unknown to Mockumentary & as well as Dark Comedy.

This series tried to pass deep messages to audience about Humanity, Politics, Corporate Lobby & many more things also.

And they VFX is really good as compared to so called Main Stream Bollywood Movies.

Actors had done Great Job👍👍👍

This series deserves at least 7.5/10.

A brilliant, underrated & underappreciated Series
tejasshardule9 April 2021
First of all Science Fiction is not everyone's favourite genre. Many People do not understand the depth of it cause it's one of the complex genre we have. This series is one of the best made in India for Indian Audiences. Many of the characters stands out in series, especially ones played by Jackie Shroff, Kani Kusruti and Vijay Verma. This is my personal belief that pure Sci-Fi fan will only understand and appreciate this series.

Satoshi .... AI AJEEB
kumarsusanta27 March 2021
Well tried experiment . It's good that they gave clearly the reference from Paprika by Satoshi kon ,in the episode they went to a different world to find Satoshi, with the AI AJEEB... give it a try It could be better if they remove the comedy things,so that it could be a sci-fi better worth.

boring
ssundararaman29 March 2021
I started watching it based on the synopsis. But unfortunately I was not even able to finish an episode. It was too boring and illogical. The dialogs are too vague and very poor screenplay. I decided to save my time and stopped with just one episode.... Good luck if you are still planning to watch all full episodes....

What exactly they are trying to show? Next gen tech with 90s tech?
hometheatrehome11 April 2021
The gadgets used are really hilarious. I really don't understand first the clothings it nowhere appears to be futuristic. In one of the scene lady cop shows the case file which is a tab wrapped in a file? I really dont get why the heck tablet needs to be covered with file cover when tab itself can access db for all the info. This is not only 1 moment, in each and every scene 1 or other things are disturbing. Buildings, vehicles, highways, public, students, offices, the robots : nothing makes any sense. Things don't compliment each other and no balance at all. Most of time i feel i am watching late 2000's movie.

I really watched this to see how worst direction can be. Don't waste time watching this.
