I don't think it's really necessary

First off, there is some inaccuracy in the existing synopsis for this OVA. The purpose of this OVA is nearly the same as that of Offline Meeting for.hack//UDEDEN and Unison for.hack//SIGN. It takes on the function of an OVA in which a number of the characters from the previous game or anime cross paths.

Furthermore, I don't think it's really necessary to have watched.hack//G. U. TRILOGY in order to see this. Trilogy is nothing more than a CGI synopsis of the three games.

After making these remarks and expressing my perspectives, I will now share my personal analysis of this OVA.

As previously said, this OVA is a "character get together" episode. Nevertheless, this episode has a slight twist in that it genuinely has a narrative, in contrast to the previous ones in the series that accomplished essentially the same thing.

Without giving anything away, Haseo receives an email instructing him to meet at a designated location. Almost ignoring it, Haseo discovers it's from Ovan. Haseo visits the location to look into the possibility that this is a scam or the real thing. But the email was also distributed to a large number of other members, thus Haseo encountered a lot of people he knew.

This has a rather high enjoyment level, particularly if you've been itching for more since the conclusion of the G. U. games. I rate the OVA a seven out of ten overall. Even while I was excited to see more for G. U., I was not as thrilled with the rest of it. For example, the animation was the same as what I had seen previously, and it seemed a lot like an episode of Roots (which, I admit, I think is what they were going for).
