One step forwards, two steps back...

Well, the 2020 horror movie "Fear PHarm" wasn't exactly a top notch horror experience. Sure, it was watchable, but it was a very forgettable horror movie. So imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon the 2021 sequel "Fear PHarm 2", yeah. Exactly. Well, I wasn't overly thrilled. But since I had the chance to watch it, and it being a horror movie, of course I did.

Mind you, that my expectations for this particular sequel weren't exactly high. But I do believe in giving a movie a fair chance and the benefit of the doubt.

Writers Mark S. Allen, Howard Burd and Dante Yore just didn't really lift the bar with the sequel. In fact, as it often goes with sequels, it went the opposite way. Yeah, while the 2020 "Fear PHarm" was watchable, the 2021 sequel felt like a watered down and fully unnecessary sequel. And the movie's cover/poster was actually the best part about the ordeal.

The storyline told in "Fear PHarm 2" was just a massive step back in comparison to the first movie, which wasn't all that great to begin with. But if felt like director Dante Yore was just running on auto-pilot and playing every single sequel trope possible. And that didn't really make for a particularly great horror movie experience.

Now, I will say that it was actually good to have the majority of the cast return from the previous movie and reprise their characters in the sequel. That counted for something at least.

If you enjoy a proper horror movie, you might want to do yourself a favor and skip on this one.

My rating of "Fear PHarm 2" lands on a three out of ten stars.

Solid,fun sequel!

Warning: Spoilers
Been waiting to watch this one since I really enjoyed the first movie.

Although I liked the first part more, this one is also very fun.

Cool kills (I'm just not a fan of the blood all over the screen effect), solid acting, the fight scenes between Melanie (Tiana Tuttle) and Gemma (Aimee Stolte) look legit, the interactions between the family members are cute and glad they gave Aimee a better outfit than the last one, she looked badass.

There's also some funny moments, like the cheerleader lift one.

The excellent cinematography is one of the strongest points of the movie, just like the first movie.

I have seen some complain how the dad looks the same age as the sons, but I like to think he uses the cream. Definitely working.

If you watch part one, may as well watch this one to.

I wouldn't be agaisnt a third installment since I like the whole premise but I don't know what much they can do after this one, especially after that ending.

5.5/10.

Idk...

The first movie was way better. I was really rooting on the girl from the initial movie to ruin them.

So they said they were going to partner with the Japanese and the subtitle says translating in Japanese, when they were really speaking Chinese? Mandarin to be exact. Disrespectful...

I wouldn't watch it again.

There are worse movies

I was bored and watched it.some nice kills but I seems like it was very cliche. Not very original. Also they were talking about selling to the Japanese and they were speaking mandarin at the end. They aren't Japanese. Guess Asians look the same to white people. All white people look the same to Asians.

Well ok...

The first movie was much better-which isn't saying that much. Didn't have that much substance. Decent gore with a dash of humor and that's about it...

Fear Pharm 2 is a flawed movie with entertaining killers and well-executed kill scenes
kevin_robbins19 February 2024
I recently watched Fear Pharm 2 (2021) on Tubi. The plot revolves around the Walker Farm, utilizing their haunted maze to capture individuals for harvesting their skin in the pursuit of skincare products. The new batch of captives believes they can escape, but are they truly up to the task?

Directed by Dante Yore (Fear Pharm), the film features John Littlefield (Hulk), Aimee Stolte (Megalodon), Tiana Tuttle (American Psychos), Nadine Stenovitch (Beowulf), and Taelyn Lewis (Symone).

My feelings at the end of this were mixed. The storyline, premise, and acting are an absolute mess. However, some characters add a lot of fun to the mix, and the kill scenes are creative, diverse, gory, and feature solid blood splatter. There's even an awesome electrocution scene and some hilarious one-liners. If you can overlook the made-for-television feel, it isn't entirely awful.

In conclusion, Fear Pharm 2 is a flawed movie with entertaining killers and well-executed kill scenes. I'd rate it a 5/10 and suggest giving it a watch at least once.

See it!

If you like horror, blood, killing, frightening scenes, then this is the movie for you. There were some shocking killings, great imagination. The Emma (Brittany Bardwell) character was smart and funny. We were really cheering for her to make it. Also liked the guy that played the Dad (John Littlefield) character. See this one before they do a FearPharm3.
