Olivia Benson's touching scene with Coroner? Forensic Pathologist
BaileySEA6 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Time and time again Olivia Benson has shown her compassion for the victims of these heinous crimes. After showing the body to the sister of the dead victim, Olivia comments on how she'd never seen a coroner putting the picture of victim and sister at the foot of the victim. He said it was to remind the victim's relative of happier times and not the cold dead body. And it moved Olivia to the point of being speechless. Very compassionate scene. This is why so many viewers LOVE Olivia Benson.

They'd Already Disappeared

A pretty solid episode here. I just don't think there are that many sick people like this the police chase, but when done correctly it is effective TV and that is what we got tonight.

Mail biting episode

What a nail biting episode it was! Just when you think it cannot get any creepier, it does! Absolutely incredible plot and story line. The only downer is Liv is always so ready to accuse before she has all the evidence; thank goodness for Fin! Especially liked that the kids were wearing helmets while riding their skateboards.

One of the new best episodes of the series.

SVU is amping up the horror factor and I LOVE it. In all seriousness though, you can only come up with so many 'PG-enough' storylines before those stories start to feel recycled over and over. Not to mention, the people who grew up watching this show are all well into adulthood now and can handle more mature, realistic (not sure that this episode specifically is super realistic, I just mean in general.) content. This episode had my jaw dropped - it went places I wasn't expecting SVU to go to and it was really refreshing to actually be shocked by something on a show that's meant to be disturbing.

I would say this is up there with the William Lewis storyline - just on a much smaller scale and contained in one episode. Not comparing the stories themselves, but the impact that they have and how memorable they are. 10/10 for sure.

Vampire, Jamal the future Detective

Great episode. Really love the vampire imagination that jamal and the rest of the skaters had.

Very creepy episode as well. I still get shocked at how interesting the writers of this show create stories for every episode.

Slayer

Frankly, I was scared and frightened in this episode. Especially in the search scenes of Rollins and Velasco...

In this episode, we have a hunter between the Norman Bates psycho and the William Lewis sadist. Like all monsters, it has a problem with the person who raised it, which is why it targets women. Unfortunately, the target is women who have already disappeared. And unfortunately, since the system doesn't see them anyway, they are easily hidden for years.

However, the episode and pace were similar to the first 5 seasons of Law and Order Svu. There were dead victims, brutalized victims and action. I mean, there was the hunt and hunter case in the first seasons. The new Svu flavor only appeared in the interrogation of Olivia and the Beast. And scene with the coroner.

I loved the partnership between Pisano (Velasco) and Rollins. Buffy and the Vampire Slayer greeting was also very nice. With the Velasco image, I compared Munch's youth to the first seasons. I miss you so much Munch.

Bringing A Photo
potzer37-572-3211716 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
While we've had some really great MEs in the past, Truman is growing on me. The move with having family bring photos when wanting to view the remains, really stuck with me. Many, many years ago my family had to ID my uncle and I wish someone would've told them to do that. So in that moment, I was so moved. Excellent storyline here too. Just like Benson said, [we've been watching this show] for 20 years and we'd never seen anything like this before. But I can't imagine there is more of the unusual out there in true crime. I mean damn, the Hammers are allegedly cannibals. Or something to that effect.

Implies extreme ignorance

Warning: Spoilers
I am getting so tired of these programs that are supposed to be realistic having the main characters act like they don't have a clue how to do their jobs. Even a rookie would know to back out of the kill zone, and remove any indication that someone had been there, and watch from a distance for the "vampire, as described by the kids" to return. He had only begun working on his latest kills, and would have anxiously returned that night. Poorly written and directed scripts generating aggravation on the part of the viewer, does not replace a well written script, with realistic actions by the main characters and plot and buildup that creates suspense. I am so tired of this garbage, where their seasoned characters do such stupid things. Every show has at least one major scene where they have at least one of the characters do something no one with a brain would ever do, and they build on that.

Why so much misandry?
dusadomovine10 November 2021
Why is there so much misandry in this show? Why is there such a large propaganda push to make men - and especially White men - to be evil? Quite shameful and disturbing. Please Hollywood - please stop this BS.
