This low budget movie was actually fairly entertaining. I thought it had a very good storyline that kept me watching despite the less than average acting. The rather abrupt and unresolved ending leads me to think that a sequel might be an idea. With a bigger budget maybe better audio, who knows?

Them flat and motionless, make your own story cause youll have plenty of time,psychic thrillers made by a cast and crew that has doe ,but not the ability to make or break a good story and plot.

Acting is at or beyond average, nobody stands forward and says im the wo/-man of this movie, the enthusiams, or the lack of it shines through, the story is highly unoriginal, the plot slow and the film 20 minutes too long, and when making an intro of saggy morning talk in the car to work its born to be doomed.

Productionwise its a disaster soundwise, and its not my tinnitus that falsyfies the living in a box sound, the location scouts have done their job, finding different sites to shoot a movie, but got shot by the set decorators, light and sound crew and loosehanded editing and directing.

So wanna watch a movie that you may leave because talking heads went by, then watch ''mind talker''. The grumpy old man shows gratitude and kindness with a 3 minus and should not be watched unless lying flat in bed.

I can't believe that I wasted my time watching this movie! Even better still, now I'm writing a few words advising not to watch this movie! I wonder if I have a chip in my neck? I certainly feel like I now have a concussion!

Watch the campy acting throughout the preview before you invest any time into this ultra low budget film school production.

Not much is good in this film as I didn't make it further than 15 mins before bailing out.

I give this a 1.5 star, turned it off

Anyone who gives this movie more than a 3 must have been in the movie.... Sorry, this movie was sooo bad, I stopped paying attention and eventually turned it off.....

Ending

It what's a good movie don't want to waste I thought the ending was only the middle of the movie hopefully they come out with a part two. Starts out with one plot turns into another plot then you really have to think about what's going on then you're wondering well how is this going to work out why are all these people involved and you finally start to figure out some of the things that you need to know about and they still don't make sense but you go along with it thinking eventually you're going to figure it out and then you can even more lost but then you start picking it up again I want it all came down to it I was just lost.

I loved the whole cast. I hope Prime or Netflix will pick this one up as a series and invest those crazy budgets this story deserves. Congrats on a great film. My wife loved the stars hair.my wife, she's making me grow my hair out now. She was Gaga for him. I feel like he has Clint Eastwood qualities in his gestures. I miss actors with real character. I look forward to seeing everyone on future projects and movies!!

Great film!!

Stylish & Intriguing

The of a detective with newfound powers of telepathy meshes nicely with themes of religion and science fiction.

Taylor Jed Martin delivers an impressive performance, as do the supporting actors. Kudos to the director for his stylish eye and great location scouting.

There is a great conceit unraveling in this movie, I wouldn't want to say more than that but everything lines up because of that. The pacing could be a little tighter in places but overall it's entertaining and and a promising concept with a good world to build off of.

Solid foundation

The writing is very clever, if you think about making a low budget film, the the story is what drives the film. Some key scenes are brilliant with deep dialogue. I enjoyed the plot very much. Probably when the filmmakers get the opportunity to shine, they will do so. I love the guy playing detective Ben Stone, a very mature and intense performance. His cop side kick also did an amazing job. The direction was well executed. Maybe a little slow at the beginning, but once it gets going, you stay until the end to figure it all out. Power of the mind, this movie will talk to you.

Satirically Campy, Millennial Genius

Baby boomers, Gen-Y and older are the generations that typically search for complicated plots, overt acting, and other outdated aspects of entertainment which are no longer glorified in the Millennial/Gen-Z dominated media of today.

That being said, the above average acting, uniquely exquisite locations, and an almost retro-fashioned style of editing, the movie is surprisingly enjoyable. The thematic elements of over-sexualization of asian women is addressed (character: "Claire") along with warped, or heavy-set, beauty standards deemed typically unconventional (characters: "Nova" / "Ruby").

The protagonist (character: "Ben/Ted") carries the aura of a charming, relatable, cis-gendered, standard male, yet takes form without the cocky bravado older generations are used to exalting.

If you're interested in a refreshing take on a psychological thriller, spend an evening with Mind Talker.

Great concept, awesome execution

Mind Talker is a very inspired and highly original movie. The performances are captivating and the sets, filters and bgm are awesome. Mind Talker is proof that to make a great movie one doesn't need to splurge millions; once the right inspiration, skills and people come together, all pieces just fall into place.

Great Indie Movie!

Obviously this is a low budget movie but with the minimal resources they had they told a fun and fantastic story. The characters were all well defined, the theme of the human condition was addressed in such a mind opening way and the locations were beautiful. Overall it was great. The twist at the end was perfect! If you are into low budget Indies that are fun to watch I highly recommend this one!

Nova Spencer does an absolutely amazing job in this movie... I thought it was a well put together film for an indie film with limited budget... Sit back and relax for a nice enjoyable film.

Super intriguing

As you watch this movie it slowly dawns on you that you are watching something totally unique. Grab a drink and some of your favorite food and enjoy the drama unfold. It has a very raw realism, I'm guessing shot run and gun in order to get that feel.

Mind talker is an unknown, surprisingly good must see movie. This movie is the perfect blend of Detective Story meets Sci-fi action movie. Director Minh Nguyen is a fantastic storyteller, he'll have you on the edge of your seat. The story is well told by it's director. The actors are spot on with their performances. This low-budget movie seems like the production spent millions of dollars rather then 100s of thousands of dollars, true movie making magic. If you like movies with thrilling action and a great story, you'll love this little hidden gem. If you're a defective story or Sci-fi fan then this is a movie you must see. This movie is worth every penny a cult classic to be.
