Anybody can take maracas, tambourines, castanets and other Spanish instruments and make a song sound romantic, even if you are using negative words that nobody in the audience understands. It's like telling a dog how ugly it is in sweet tones and getting it to wag its tale. Spanish music is supposedly supposed to be passionate and romantic, but you have to be able to understand the lyrics so you can translate if need be. This archaic musical short with Rosita Moreno and Nino Manfredi is supposed to do just that, but I couldn't gather any of the presumed Spanish words they sung. Poor sound and static staging just makes this a stereotype of Spanish or Mexican clichés, and it's just completely uninteresting.
