Please remember that this is a very patriotic movie about the Indonesian Revolution, made by Indonesians. The story is not that bad. The movie follows young air cadets experiencing the independence struggle and preparing for their first bombing raid. Unfortunately the context of the movie is shown in a very biased manner. Without additional context dead Indonesian villagers are shown followed by a group of women and elderly on the run from Dutch soldiers. A reference to the war crimes commited by the Dutch. Not taking into account that similar war crimes were commited by Indonesians as wel. Also, a Dutch patrol was ambushed and gunned down, the Dutch not bothering to take cover or even wear helmets. Intertwined with the main storyline is a love story between one of the cadets and a young girl. This does not add anything to the movie.
