Not sure why it is so highly rated

I found the movie to be quite biased. It glorifies honour killing and shows that how a father is driven to murder his daughter. The girl and her lover are shown as totally bad people here and father as shown as poor figure. I do feel pity for parents who have to accept such changes but it doesnt justify killing.

How not to make a movie

Hard to believe this was directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The biggest mistake was telling the story, which is based on real life event, through the bigoted murderer's POV with almost no regard for the victims. Murder even shows sympathy for the unpleasant villain. Besides that major blunder, the movie is also excruciatingly slow and boring.

The movie is just glorifying the honour killing. The movie shows the immense love of dad towards her daughter who killed her lover brutally but couldn't accept him as a son-in-law.

Its not a movie, its a sad feel & every drop of tears of a father. Every generation should watch this movie. Killing is not correct, but the emotion is more deep at times where killing seems tiny thing. Teenagers need to think logically before taking a life decision.

Can't control my laugh from to start of the movie till the climax. After many years had very much fun watching this movie. Probably the director should be great person (!!!) to give this wonderful comedy film ever made in film industry.

Even though I am not father to daughter, it moved me. But intentionality director showed Namrata's in-laws who are really CHRISTIANS as Hindus. Very pathetic to Hindus for this PSUDO SECULERISM. No body dares against any religion other than Hindu.

Genuine biopic but not for narrow minded people

Once again proved rgv's credibility in making biopics. I dont know why people are givig negative ratings. This movie is genuine better than stereotypical films like uppena and palasa. But movie is too slow, predictableand also need to reduce tge movie lenght of 90 minutes. Movie is too serious of course one cannot expect entertainment from this kind of films.

This is why nobody want daughters. This movie has shown a harsh truth of Today's world, and faced equal amount of backlash as nobody wants to see the truth. But it is a very brave attempt to show that how sometimes daughters become selfish and a disgrace to the society.

Felt Like Murdering the Director and Justify it Like This Movie.

Coming to the Point if i have an oppurtunity to add one more minute in the movie, i have added a scene where maruthi rao is hallucinating many uncertain events.. for eg : scenes like amrutha and pranay giving cruel expressions and pranay expression as if he wantedly married her for money and the suggestive bgm and amruthas expressions in few scenes where she purposefully want to hurt her father etc are as his illusions where on the contrary pranay being hit or warned or spoken by maruthi raos brother (as mentioned in the movie). Narrative completely takes the side of maruthi rao. In a scene, maruthi rao explains his lawyer friend about how the death of pranay should be is too much, as if they wantedly wanted this act to come in cctv, we all know, being a part of such henious crime he got away with bail, had that cctv clipping not been there as proof, everything would have been different and normal by now considering him being in politcal position and exercising power, money etc he would have erased everything on him. And finally, as the writer in the movie through maruthi rao and few journalists kept on bragging about pranay saw money of amrutha.. etc Are arranged marriages not linked to money or what? Dowry is linked to money, the granduer of the marriage is linked to money, considering the grooms occupation by bride and their family before marriage is linked with money.. this way every step of marriage is linked with money and undue advantage theeskovali anukuntey alanti arranged marriage ayyaka kuda sarriga mana ammayini chuskokunda sathiyinchachu enni NRI marriages chudaledhu. How can honor killing or any sort of killing be justified? The father expects that his daughter will return if he will kill her husband? What kind of logic is that? They are trying to justify toxic love. Even if you think your child is wrong, violence or killing is never justified. The dad doesn't even try to talk to them once calmly. How can such a person be considered a good dad? They are trying to justify anything in the name of emotions or bonds.
