This is probably my favorite video by Roy Karch, well-shot and providing story and characters that are believable and worth watching. For once he departs from a strictly assembly-line approach.
JIll Kelly is at her loveliest, introduced taking a shower, and then limning an uncertain relationship with her boyfriend Eric Price. Not known for his acting skills, Eric does the best he can with a difficult role, as he's a filthy rich guy (his huge hilltop mansion with a great view of the Valley) who can't commit to Jill -hardly someone the average porn fan can identify with.
This is Couples and Lifestyle porn, with a small group of friends attending a party at Eric's pad having sex with each other while certain enmities come out in the open. Karch has provided a fine script, and I only wish he had made more movies in this vein, even if gonzo and misogynistic sex is what apparently sells (and sold) for the porn audience.
All three supporting femmes turn in quality performances, with acting up to the level of the sex play. Barry Wood's cinematography is exemplary, and the Sin City release definitely one of the keepers from two decades back.
