Mind boggling is the only description for this.

The editing was done by a 12 year old with adhd

Camera work was done by someone who was playing on their phone half the time.

Story was written on a napkin.

The cast was just a group of Floridian friends.

All these positive reviews have got to be fake, I can't see anyone that is not on a mind altering substance remotely enjoying this for more than five minutes to laugh at the horribleness and then turn it off.

Great Soundtrack and Atmosphere

The majority of indie films of this nature have no soundtrack to speak of, but Key Lim Voodoo has a really great soundtrack! Really great music throughout. And while this might have been a low budget movie, they really make use of a ton of interesting locations. Love the atmosphere - and I am guessing the set dressing was mostly already at each location. Great use of that! I enjoyed the story and characters and the editing and jump cut style works for the most part. Give this indie a try!

Movie disguised as a music video?

What in the world did I watch? I felt like it was a sea of montages disguised as ambiance with a constant strumming of some song by lead actress Jennifer Kaiser who wrote and sang all of the songs. I can only presume Jo and Julio Blanco are catering to their friends for promotion of their music while forwarding their own cinematic ideals, only to come away with nothing resembling a movie or a music video. I don't even think they understood the subject matter they were writing about. There are lots of bad horror movies out there that are at least fun. Death is more merciful than watching this. Watch Blair Witch for the 100th time before watching this for the first.

Zoe (Jennifer Kaiser) is at the point in her relationship where she wants space. Rather than go to Aruba with her cop boyfriend (Austin Jones) she decides to drive to Key Lime Florida. After being gone a week and not answering her phone her boyfriend goes looking for her and the locals don't help him. Oh yea, there is a voodoo thing not well done.

They didn't pay attention to the sound. In the cafe part of the conversation had street noise and part had it filtered out. Camera work was not professional. The acting left a lot to be desired. Low budget and boring.

Any reviews above 1 star were paid for...this is horrible. I think it was literally shot with an iPhone. Maybe an iPhone 1. Boring story....worst sound editing ever....no apparent horror.

Bad truly bad

Sweet moses slippers, this film is bad, really bad. The only thing that held it was the cinematography. The story literally made no sense, were the actors being paid by the amount of words they said ... and then they realised they'd run out of money? The acting was so wooden, they had calcified... the sound quality, well there simply wasn't any as for the script and storyline... Lets hope they have a day job. I'm not sure that there was any casting involved in this film, I'm presuming they just rounded up a bunch of people with nothing better to do who possessed neither talent or chemistry. Im not really sure why the voodo element featured so strongly in the title, literally had nothing to do with the film... nothing like a blonde playing a voodoo priestess, i can taste the vomit.

Such a fun film

I love watching indie films. Sure, many can fall short of the mark but I admire the courage of the filmmaker in bringing their passion, their love to life for the rest of us to enjoy. And Key Lime Vodoo, I thoroughly enjoyed. I view films was I entertained... and yes, I'm glad to say this film not only entertained me, but my wife too (and that right there says a lot). So for me, rather for us, this film gets a thumbs up. Bravo folks, nicely done!!

Fun Halloween Flick

If you like horror films of the 70s you should check this one out. It isn't a Hollywood film with a massive budget but if you like indie films it's a fun one to watch alone with some candy or with a group of friends that appreciate the genre.

Decent indie horror film!

This is definitely a great film to watch if you are a fan of indie horror films. The soundtrack is done well and the locations were awesome... especially on a low budget. Having stuck out the credits, I see Jo and Julio have their names all over this project and I applaud how much effort was put into this. There were some shortcomings with the camera work and audio. But, I look forward to seeing future films from them. Hopefully there will be a bigger budget so their talents can shine even more!

A mystery with a Florida vibe

An ambitious indie mystery with a Florida vibe, bright colors and a twist of the occult. Key Lime Voodoo is a challenging film in that it is not easy to see where it is going in the first half, the journey is worth it however as this indie film delivers the drama and tension to make it well worth the watch.

Great premise for a horror film and beautiful locations that really make you feel the heat and sweat of Florida. This film is a good example of what you can do with a low budget (there are some sound issues here and there but nothing that takes you out of the story). Kudos to Joe Blanco for wearing many hats.

Cool Creepy Journey

This cool, crime thriller takes you into the swampy landscapes of Florida with this tale. Paul and Zoe take a break from eachother and just as it is in real life, sometime evil takes it chance to creep in when you aren't as strong anymore.

Paul's journey back to Zoe leads to some dark confrontations and this all makes for an interesting and creepy dramatic affair. Watch it with your girlfriend so she doesn't run off on you ;')

Cool Southern swampy vibe

What starts out as a simple break up of needing more space, turns into a riveting indie horror-thriller that is sure to entertain. Without giving too much away, the mystery of what happened to Zoe is a mystery worth diving into. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Avant garde flourishes

In many respects, this is a thrillingly experimental film and it has some real flourishes that call to mind the avant garde confrontations of the '60s and '70s. Some great atmosphere and evocation of the sense of place really made me miss Florida and yearn to be back in the Everglades. Fans of John Waters, Lloyd Kaufman and Russ Meyer will find much to enjoy here. Certainly worth a look.

creepy movie

What can I say... Voodoo is a fun and untapped theme. Key Lime Voodooo is a well thought out tale with elements of The Serpent and the Rainbow's investigation and a splash of creepy realism!

A Nice Film

Key Lime Voodoo is a refreshing Indie Film that makes up for a limited budget with creativity that gives it a big budget feel from the great music to the stylistic directing and editing cuts to the beautiful locations. You will be certainly be entertained by this voodoo action thriller.

Marshland Voodoo Horror

Looks like my affinity for indie horror movies just dragged me through the eerie backwoods and swamps of Florida, and the Argento-on-acid pontoon ride that is "Key Lime Voodoo."

Over a dinner date, struggling couple Paul and Zoe determine they need space. Zoe angles for the good vibrations and claustrophobic swamplands of Key Lime Florida. A lounge lizard - Peter - introduces her to orchid grower and Key Lime Pie enthusiast Audrey, to whom Zoe develops an attraction. When ex-lover Paul arrives in pursuit of Zoe, what he finds is a shadow of her former self, and no longer resistant to her dark inclinations.

"Key Lime Voodoo" is genuinely homespun horror, and one's love or disdain for that massive segment of the genre will inform their verdict here, just as it has mine.

The movie will take you to a raw vision - if you are willing to go with it

This film might not be for everyone, but the raw combination of images, somewhat resembling a music video, but then you could also compare it to found footage films or documentaries, can drag you into the filmmaker's vision or propel you out of it. Ultimately it really is up to you if you take part in the experiment. I enjoyed the film. I enjoy indie films, as well as horror, and encourage people to watch this one if they want to see something different.

This is a very unique, atmospheric journey into the abys of surreal madness. Vivid imagery, twisted perceptions, a bold and unique movie that is much more then a detective or horor genre movie. Great work from director Jo Blanco and brilliant cast! Thoroughly recommend this deeply interesting and sublimely intoxicating pyschadelic adventure through the macabre

B Movie Surprise

This is unapologetically low budget, but still ended up being a good time! The music and scenery are beautifully captivating and closer to the end there are some disturbing moments. If you're a fan of low budget B movies, you'll like this one!

Good atmosphere and music

Key Lime Voodoo really puts you in the middle of the Florida Keys with some excellent location photography. The two main actors have a nice chemistry with one another. The soundtrack has one great song after another. Highly recommended!!!
