The power of dreams, magic and fantasy in a nice video
Rodrigo_Amaro11 May 2020
This little and vivid clip appeared to me during my addiction to everything involved then rising star Luke Treadaway ("Attack the Block!", "Unbroken" fame) so I can't say much about the music from a band I barely know. Ok, so it's more of a review more about the images, story and acting rather than the song quality - it has some but it's not anything I tend to listen since I'm too oldies.

Well, Mr. Treadaway begins the video as a lonely dreamer staring at an old boxing poster and when he plays his accordeon (he seems like being a poor street musician), comes a troupe of eccentric types and the beautiful girl played by Georgina Bevan in their old-fashioned car to take him to a journey. The concept of mystery girl who captures the attention of a young man is easily sold, but instead of falling and following just for her amazing beauty - or vice-versa, since he's a stud - the video is more concerned into presenting to the boy a bewildering colorful scenario where everybody is free, wild, artsy and dancing, and they can all make their dreams come true. He wants to be a boxer, a true champion. Will he get the chance?

It's cool, it's beyond cool. Acting is great, the idea is nicely presented and it's quite easy to catch up if compared to more methaporical and conceptual music videos. There's mystery, desire, fantasy, illusion all in one, beautifully captured by a mesmerizing cinematography. The idea works though it could be suitable with a lot more enthusiasm had it made to a different kind of song to follow it. Thumbs up time and again though. 8/10
