The Team is Back!
nannyjo9 July 2021
The team is back! I really enjoyed this first episode. The actors seemed to fall right back into their characters with all of the quirks and scars that made us love them back in the day. The reason for the reunion felt natural and they fell into the con in a realistic way.

While I will miss Timothy Hutton, Noah Wyle has always been a favorite of mine. I feel he will be a strong addition to the cast and crew.

The writing felt as sharp, witty, and clever as ever. I can't wait to see the rest of the season. I'm going to do my best to keep it to ONE episode a week, but we will see how that goes. ;~)

They're Baaack!

Just in time for the summer doldrums! The series picks up where the finale left off. I only wish that there more than 8 episodes but, that will still be binge worthy!

I think Noah Wiley's character fits in well with story of Leverage International.

Great Opening!

The wait is over, the #Leverage family is back! Fantastic #EliotSpencer fight! And the most compassionate and emotional tribute to Eliot from #AlecHardison I have ever heard! A lot of heart was packed into this episode. This is the start of my third watching of these 8 new episodes, and I find some new heart-warming interaction in each viewing. Love #LeverageRedemption, #ChristianKane, #BethRiesgraf. #AldisHodge, and #GinaBellman! Welcome back, #Leverage team!

Getting the band back together
kristanmarieanderson10 July 2021
This show is and was always escapist fun. Not high art, but a fun ride. I am really happy that for the fans of the original, the reboot exceeds expectations. Well done and thanks to the entire crew and team!

We provide...Leverage.

Soooo good to have the team back together again! Broke my heart to see Sophie's pain and to know Nate is gone but they did a great job of honoring his memory. You can feel his presence as much as his absence. Parker's just as crazy, Hardison just as much of a geek and Eliot as much heart as hitter as ever. Noah Wyle completes the team and I loved him in The Librarian movies and series but my jury is out on his character here. Some interesting and ironic interaction between him and Christian, given their history, but he has a different style and a lot to prove. Sophie is a good choice as team leader but she needs to grow into the part. She's trying to be the old Sophie, fill Nate's shoes, mourn his loss and be out of practice getting back in the swing of things all at the same time. I get the impression the cast and crew really didn't want to replace Tim Hutton so the effort to do so feels a little half-hearted. I understand Aldis Hodge couldn't be in all the episodes. Not sure how I feel about the girl filling in for his absences in later episodes. But Leverage had a really good ending and it has been a few years so this new series needs to be a little different. And I'm so jazzed to have most of the cast and crew back together that what minor flaws exist I can easily forgive or overlook. Hopefully all the other viewers will too.

On a side note, I love that Christian has long hair again. Missed that when he was in The Librarians. :-)

Leverage is Back!

Loving having my Robinhoodlums back in action again.

This is a NEW Series so yes, changes are made.

Time has passed, just as in real life!

Nothing ever stays the same.

I'm not one who likes changes personally, Leverage: Redemption surprised me, in that it feels as if my family is back in my living room again. I'm enjoying it!

We Provide Leverage!!!

Warning: Spoilers
I am so thankful that the series is back with new twists to wreck the plans of the corrupt and dangerous. It is sad that Nate's character died, but I am glad the team honored him in the first episode. The episodes were so good I binge watched three episodes in one sitting. Tomorrow I will definitely watch the rest of the episodes and re-watch them. I agree that Harry's backstory is a little weak, but his inside man status helps the team. Also, I am sorry that Hardison will miss some episodes. Hopefully he will return to the series. Please keep the series going.

Noah Wyle Adds a Lot
craigball9 July 2021
The Leverage team is up to their old tricks sans Timothy Hutton's stale charm. Noah Wyle brings serious acting skill as a credible fresh foil for the mature Leverage team. Harry's backstory is thin, but Wyle makes the most of his underwritten character.

The Too Many Rembrandts Job
Prismark1022 July 2021
Leverage was always a fun show, although too much like an American version of the BBC show, Hustle.

It could had gone on for a few more years but it ended in 2012. So no more easter eggs on Star Trek and Doctor Who.

Now it's back as Leverage: Redemption. There are a few changes, the major one being Timothy Hutton is absent as Nathan Ford. I always liked how Hutton would turn up the dial every now and then just to let the audience know that he is an Oscar winning actor.

As Hutton's legal problems are over there is always next season. They just need to bring Nate back from the dead!

Harry Wilson (Noah Wyle) is the corporate lawyer who believes he has done wrong. He sided with a pharmaceutical billionaire Fletcher Maxwell who sold dodgy drugs but wants people to think highly of him because he donates millions in artwork to museums.

Wilson wants to make amends. Sophie needs to get over Nate's death. The rest of the team help Wilson find redemption. They want to break Maxwell's reputation as a philanthropist an lighten his bank account.

A few of the actors are older. I cannot believe that Aldis Hodge was only in his early 20s when Leverage started.

Despite the cast change, it was comforting to see the crew get back together using their charm and skills. Maybe it made things look a little too easy.

Bring back Timothy Hutton...
cyrise-4824327 July 2021
Write Nate back in. He needed to fake his death to protect his family from the Russian mob. Great story. Let's get the band back together!

Noah, great!
edmondsonalicia10 July 2021
Absolutely great! Wonderful to see Noah Wyle back in a series as a regular. He is at the top of his game. And about 12 minutes in Noah does his famous eye roll! Been awhile, love the eye roll. Everyone was great. Haven't seen the original series but if it is anything like these, I will be watching it soon. I am very much ready for more episodes, the first 8 are amazing. I will be re-watching them again tomorrow.

I'm ecstatic that my show is back! I must admit it's a little weird that Nate isn't here, but I'm so very happy the gang came back to keep fighting the good fight. Willing to give the new guy Harry a shot!😂😁

They're finally back!

Warning: Spoilers
So glad to see Leverage return, even without Timothy Hutton. Christian Kane still rocks Eliot, Gina, Beth, and Aldis are terrific. The addition of Noah Wylie is a good one. Thank you Dean Devlin, the cast, and all who FINALLY brought back the best show on TV.

Mixed Feelings
Sarah42323 July 2021
I loved Leverage on the first incarnation & was eagerly awaiting its return.

Love Noah Wiley in all his prior projects and he seemed a great sort of addition.

So I was incredibly surprised that the show fell flat for me.

But it did.

I understand why they retooled the cast. I understand moving forward into the characters' futures (can't help that.) But it just didn't quite gel other than "sentimentally" and that's only half way there.

Leverage was a heavily underrated show during its initial run and it returned with high quality here. Very true to the style of the original. Looking forward to seeing how the long season plays out.
