Intriguing stories that shake you
jtbma-2597422 May 2020
This isn't a predictable show, its real life of the law and what happens when your fate lies in the hands of twelve jurors. Real life situations, some will thrill while others leave you asking why? Fantastic for the true crime buffs.

Emotional rollarcoaster

My goodness, I watched just 1 episode and it sent shivers down my spine. The makers of this serie did a fantastic job in showing the viewer from the start to the end what it all means when you go through such a horrendous experience. I think this is one of the best real-crime documentary I have watched on a crime channel.

Definitely recommend it to watch it.

Danita is innocent
killingsworth1 May 2020
Watching this episode made me sick. Her son was not operated on just based on what Danita told them if so why not bring charges against them and the hospice owner. Don't laugh but wish I could reach out to Kim katdashian West this woman should not be in jail and the state owes her a huge settlement. I don't know this family that doesn't matter. This is a horrible miscarriage of justice and makes me physically sick. This family has been through so much. I never post about anything but this struck a nerve and I'm furious enough for all of them. Somebody please help this family!!!!!

On the edge of my seat

I've watched the first 5 episodes. One of them had me in tears but they are all quite emotional. I agree so far with all verdicts except one. People are complaining that you don't get all the facts, but the show is called 'accused' as is only meant to follow the story of the accused from their point of view. If you want the prosecutions side do some research online. I like the way it's shot and the information given on each case. I'm nervous right up until the end during each episode.

Interesting perspective
alasurvey4 July 2021
Most shows are not shown from the perspective of the accused person, which makes this very interesting. I have not agreed with all the verdicts. I think it is important to show that not everything is black and white. In real life not every verdict is the correct one.

Really good show
jergo197618 October 2021
I'm a true crime fan, and this show really stands out from the usual Investigation Discovery-type shows. You get a personal feeling for the episode's subject, and it makes the conclusion all the more powerful.

I've seen it all, and this show actually got me a little choked-up at times.

I hope they continue making more episodes!

Reckless Driver or Tragic Accident?
RetFireFEMTech11 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Synopsis: A woman driver faces a felony charge and a possible sentence of of life in prison when a passenger in the car she is driving is killed after she collides with an 18-wheeler truck. Was she an intoxicated reckless driver or was this collision an unavoidable tragic accident?

IMHO:

This show is frustrating in that it doesn't address some of the obvious issues.

This lady was rightfully encouraged to not take the stand due to her inability to remember facts.

I believe her use of Xanax and the other drugs has diminished her mental status.

She couldn't or wouldn't remember details of the accident.

Xanax, Oxy, Morphine? We will never know.

She appeared to have no stamina to last on the witness stand if later needed.

Even though the victim's situation was never addressed, what caused her to keel over?

The grand daughter, although a help to her granny, was a pest.

I doubt the suspect would have gotten off if the jury had gotten the case.

Best Friend Killing or Self-Defense? Episode
firballblaze-6968921 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I write this comment to the Police and Prosecution of the great State of Kentucky and hope they see it: Consider this.... For this gentleman to receive ANY time in prison is a damn shame.

If you cannot protect yourself in self defense then go ahead and let people kill you and your family and see how you like it. And you cops need to grow tf up if a few little scratches from an old man hurt you enough to try to get him convicted of a crime over it. This is why people Hate Police.

Pretty fun show, I will watch most episodes
JurijFedorov25 December 2021
It's a show that only follows the accused and the defense team. The accused wants on the show to tell his/her side of the story. So basically the show is used to plead innocence in the media and defend your name.

Of course the accused look fairly innocent here. It can even look like some cases are a tiny bit frivolous at first glance. The defence lawyer of course wants to present the prosecution as angry, irrational, and unfair. On the other hand you really don't want to present the other side as incompetent lawyers with little to no evidence as that would make you look terrible if you lose the case. So that does motivate the defense team to at some point show that the prosecution actually has some good evidence on some points - but the overall case is unfair!

You do need to understand what side of the story is presented. But even besides this they leave out a ton of evidence and statements as these are short episodes. We only get a few minutes from the courts themselves and if there are for example 4 huge witness statements they will only show 2 to not make it too long. Even if the statements are only shown for 20 seconds. It's just that they don't have much time because overall it focuses on family member interviews, emotional interviews showing the accused in sorrow, and then a few defense attorney scenes where the attorney gets to brag and show confidence.

It's a very fun show! I'm for sure addicted to the episodes. The music is great and for some episodes the tension is top notch. But overall the cases are often with losers of society. Not that popular people who got into trouble because they couldn't control their anger or fear. So emotional people. They claim self-defense and are otherwise not criminal people so you never know what actually happened. It's a huge shame they only show a tiny bit of the evidence and often leave out big parts of the cases. I would have loved to just look at everything and make up my mind based on the technical stuff. But this show is about the emotions related to a court case. The suffering it causes to the accused and the family. Podcast episodes are better at presenting more of the evidence as they don't have clips of the people involved and can just explain everything fast. I think you kinda need to know where to draw the line. Men would like a ton of evidence and technical details. Women would like to see the family members cry and the accused feeling down. This is a bit of a mix, but I feel like I, as a man, am getting a bit overlooked anyhow. At least present all the technical things fast. Don't just fully ignore some of them!

Fun show though.

Negligent!
mspateach4 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
That guy with the swimming pool accident was definitely negligent! He got off pretty easy and that poor kid will be handicapped for the rest of her life. He didn't even take responsibility for it. He knew it was his fault. That's why he lied to the police.

It's so so
extra-8856627 May 2022
The Problem I find with this show is it focused way to much on the defense side. Defense lawyer and defense team and accused. Rarely do you hear the other side. They rarely give the prosecutors take on it or their records of evidence. It's a too one sided show. We all know defense lawyers are paid by the accused to get him off from the crime... Guilty or not. If the show showed both views and sides, I'd be more interested in watching. Unfortunately, the show sticks to one side and focuses on the accused version and the defense teams direction of defending them .

Misleading Show
charese-1363313 May 2020
The show should be called Accused: Guilty. This show is awful. Every episode I've watched the evidence presented by the state for every case was bogus and it proved that the defendants were innocent, yet they were found guilty by clueless jurors. Hope this show is cancelled soon.

Season three episode seven. Don't want to be a spoiler.
captainrob-205265 March 2023
I'm going to try and not talk about specifics of the episode because then my review will not show up. Hiltner the defense lawyer should not have been on this case. I don't think he told his client the pertinent information he needed for his situation. All I have to say is beyond a reasonable doubt. That is the law.

When I was watching this episode, when I got near the end without giving it away by thought that the accused should definitely be switching attorneys. That attorney should be ashamed of himself. His biggest concern was that he was going to make the prosecutors mad. That's not your job. You are a terrible attorney.

Clearly guilty
chrisgarry-238821 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Jason was on the wrong side of the road, with opiates in his system and likely sending text messages when he caused a head on collision causing the deaths of two other people.

How he can look anyone in the eye and claim this was simply a road traffic accident is beyond belief.

We saw glimpses of his delusional god fearing persona throughout the documentary..we also saw telltale psychological signs of guilt, not to mention enough evidence that proved he was to blame for the collision.. however it seems the jury did not pick up what the viewer surely did, in that here is a man so fiercely in denial of any guilt that he is willing to take to his grave the fact that his recklessness caused the death of two others.

Shame on him and shame on the prosecutor.

Frankly, I am appalled that he was found not guilty and the prosecution in this case must be utterly inept as to not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that what Jason did amounted to a crime.

The US "justice" system; ladies and gentlemen.

Perhaps there are parts of America, even in this day and age, where the face simply just fits..

Y'all got her side of the story...but you looking at a 6 and I'm looking at a 9... I was there for my son...not when it counted...when he needed me the most...I got locked up...I messed up...my son was never abused until she got with that clown...and for anyone information she left me a year before I went to prison and got with some guy and she left him when he was talking harshly to my son...in all honesty tho I do not blame her for what happened to him...I know she loved him...just as much as I did...I'll always see his smile in my minds eye...I'd give anything to go back...anything... I love you JJ with all my heart and I promise that I'll see you again someday.
