MASKS!!!
hfcwkmy11 November 2021
Good story and not in your face constant Covid as 6 months down the road from the beginning of the pandemic but please why were the writers allowed to let April walk around with her mask around her chin, with no masks in other areas of the hospital, this is not realistic in the least...hospitals all over the world are still using severe Covid measures to try combat this pandemic. Escapism is great but if you want to be authentic get with reality!!!

Low hanging fruit.

The episode was good and we all expected Covid storylines especially with the Med portion of One Chicago. I thought the race card that was played was just tacky though. It was the low hanging fruit and the writers reached for it. I think y'all can do better.

Beautifully written

This show brought to reality what COVID-19 is doing to our citizens and healthcare providers. Folks may think it is no big deal because it kills only 3% but do not fail to learn from this. People who deny its existence should go visit their local ICU. This ability to create doubt about a major occurrence is why I am so angry at leaders and social media. These pandemics are going to keep coming. Look at the escalating frequencies. Humans are not immune. Sorry for the reality

Unfortunate use of a backdrop
wyattap12 February 2021
Whilst Chicago Med used to be so real to the eye, even though you know its a set, the use of dodgy backdrops and virtual candles spoilt the authenticity of this episode. Everytime you saw a video caller on screen in this episode, you can see the backdrop wasn't real which is a real let down as Wolf could have used his imagination and recorded these callers using the technology we have to bring in the realism. Help with your belief.

Also, the plot was in your face. We watch this for the drama and something to take you in to their Chicago world. This was brought it back to reality.... so much so, I found it hard to watch. Not for a good reason. Further to this..... it jumped right in, with very few ties to last season. Should have eased in, like the real pandemic..... could have been a good story of how it started to where we are now. Just a shame it was more of a punch in the face.

Getting hit over the head

I expected COVID storylines upon the return of this show, but I was hoping for more skillful weaving of it into the plot, not the pandemic being the sole hook on which to hang the episode. The writers went overboard with fear-mongering and stereotypes and could have been much more powerful with more subtle narrative.

I believe in covid-19, I have nothing against including the pandemic in the shows and yet, this episode was so lame.

Another Covid episode
denise-dargan3327 May 2021
We've all been through the last year and seen loved ones pass away so why do writers keep on and on about it. What is wrong with the writers have they got friends who write for New Amsterdam and the Resident. Poor poor April the hero please get off your high horse and stop preaching to people. Doctors and nurses arguing all the time please get a grip writers and give us something decent to watch. Thank goodness for Chicago PD a real cop show.

Acting like a nuke just hit. Radiation showers? So stupid plus Dr. Manning is the worse TV doctor in the history of TV doctors but Fauci is getting closer to beating her out.
