An okay watch
pmtelefon30 August 2020
As Lifetime movies go "Sorority Secrets" is in the middle of the road. It's not a bad movie. It held my interest. The cast is fine and they all do a nice job. It's just that there's nothing in this movie that separates it from the rest of the Lifetime pack. "Sorority Secrets" ends up being an okay time killer.

Sorority sisters whodunit!
Chartreuse130 August 2020
Cassie, in college, applies to a sorority and gets in......over her head and her "sisters" end up dying. Cassie is bound and determined to find out who their killer is and has to watch out she doesn't get killed herself in the process! Good plot and storyline! Not half bad!

Pretty wicked lifetime flick

Warning: Spoilers
The main chick who plays Cassie in this one was previously seen in the movie Au Pair Nightmare and she did a good job in this one as a college student who gets in the middle of a string of pretty violent murders. She pledges an exclusive sorority and discovers the girls may be involved in a little more than extracurricular activities. As secrets begin to come out, someone doesn't want the fun to end and begins killing some of the sorority sisters who are making waves. Pretty long lists of suspects in this one too

Almost above average

Warning: Spoilers
Really not too bad. Reading the credits, there were quite a few rookies and near rookies here. Although a few of the actors were noticeably less than stellar. I was hoping for more of a twist. The fight scene at the end wasn't great, but it was better than what you see in most lifetime movies. Unless I missed it, explain how the boyfriend got stabbed in the lower right back, but had his left arm in a sling?

Secrets of the ...
kosmasp17 April 2023
No pun intended - the movie is quite ... well simple. Of course with all the title changes you may accidentally rewatch this ... thinking this is a different movie. And since the story is forgettable .. you may not even notice until halfway through. This all does not speak well of the movie ... but I don't think many expect differently ... the score/voting suggest a lot of low bars that were set up.

Acting is ok, the present time frame the movie begins with, just to go back in time to show us why we landed where we started the movie with ... well it is neat, but also nothing new. Again, the movie is decent if you are favorable to the movie and if that is your cup of tea (or whatever Sororities drink ...)

It was rather enjoyable...

When I sat down in 2021 to watch the 2020 thriller "Sorority Secrets", I must admit that I hadn't even heard about the movie. I read the synopsis and it seemed to be a movie that could prove entertaining enough. And of course, since I hadn't already seen it, of course I managed to find the time to watch it.

And I will say that "Sorority Secrets" was actually better than I had expected it to be. I had figured it to be just another run-of-the-mill thriller. But writers Kelly Peters and Amy Katherine Taylor actually managed to churn out a storyline that was every bit as entertaining and interesting as it was good at keeping me in the dark and at guessing as to who was the culprit.

While "Sorority Secrets" does prove entertaining, it is however not the type of movie that warrants more than a single viewing, as the storyline loses all its suspense, thrill and surprises once you've seen it to the end.

The acting in the movie was good. And it is always nice to sit through a movie where the talents starring and performing in the movie are ones unfamiliar to you. I definitely like that in movies, because it doesn't lead me to associate the actors or actresses with previously portrayed characters in other movies.

"Sorority Secrets" is not a grand masterwork within the thriller genre, but it turned out to be better than I had expected. And it is definitely a movie that is worth sitting down to watch.

My rating of "Sorority Secrets" lands on a six out of ten stars.

A Fairly Entertaining Lifetime Movie
Uriah4313 November 2023
This film begins with a young college student by the name of "Cassie Thompson" (Brytnee Ratledge) being informed that, due to budget costs, her scholarship to a prestigious university was now being cancelled. And although her working-class mother "Debra Thompson" (Elisabetta Fantone) tells her that she is willing to now work two shifts to help out, Cassie adamantly refuses to put her through such an exhaustive schedule. It's during this time that Cassie is told by another student that she should apply for membership in an elite sorority which could potentially provide both housing and tuition at no cost. Needless to say, she is ecstatic when she is told that she has been accepted. However, on the very first day her mother begins to have a strange feeling that something isn't quite right--and it's not long afterward that sorority sisters begin to die under mysterious circumstances. Now, rather than reveal any more, I will just say that I honestly didn't know what to expect from this movie due to the made-for-television format. Fortunately, both the plot and the acting were sufficient to maintain my interest and I have rated this movie accordingly. Slightly above average.
