Paul confesses to Gina
jotix10019 October 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Paul Weston goes to see Gina Toll again. He is disturbed from the difficult week he just had. To make matters worse, he has been having some problems of his own. He has a urinary infection that has proved painful to deal with, aside from the stress he has been under after the confrontation with Kate, his wife.

Gina wants to know more about Paul's relation with Laura, because for the first minutes of his session he dwells in her case. He goes to tell Gina about the way in which she acted on her last visit. She was late, she wanted more time, but because of his own appointment, Paul could not comply. Paul feels that Gina's advice was wrong in having him terminate Laura's therapy, something that he feels has set their relation almost a year. He has decided to continue, anyway.

Paul gets testy with Gina. He reminds her much of her theories are wrong. He then proceeds to confess his situation at home with Kate announcing about her upcoming trip. He feels a kind of bond with his son; Paul feels his own marital problems are affecting the kids. He admits of sleeping in the office and how his son wanted him to sleep with him. Paul goes away sad and perhaps angrier than when he got to Gina's office.

This episode was written by Davey Homes and directed by Rodrigo Garcia, the man at the helm for most of the series. Of course, it ought to be noted this was an adaptation of the Israeli smash hit Be'Tipul created by Nir Bergman, Hagai Levi and Ori Sivan. The show is one of the most interesting presentations because it is a departure from the usual television fare.

Gabriel Byrne and Dianne Wiest are two wonderful actors that make us care about the people they give life to, for our enjoyment.
