Great episode but what's up with the timeline?

Warning: Spoilers
This episode delved effectively into the theme of growing up and becoming more like your parents than you'd want, providing more insight in the characters of Chris and Vic.

The timeline of the story however did not add up at all and that bothered me a lot ... How on earth could there still be time to save Wayne? Where did Manx (and Wayne) go in the time between Manx stabbing Bing and Wayne hanging the ornament in the tree on their way to Christmasland? At the very minimum a full day passed in between as Bing was in hospital for - as was mentioned - 24 hrs to recover. In and of itself a remarkably fast recovery for a severe stab wound but I was willing to overlook that. for the sake of the story. Not having been told where Manx and Wayne were in the meantime bothered me though.... but

A gut-punchingly raw and emotional episode with insightful parallels and deep introspections. I forget how dark this show gets, and this is coming from watching the previous episode. The writers never let up with their talents.

Millie...
songod-9500312 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Millie, Manx's daughter, has been effectively dead since 1938. All the kids brought to Christmasland are dead; turned into vampire-like creatures after Manx drained their life force. She cannot return to the real world. Just like in ep 1 when one of the taken kids ran after the human kids, he appeared for a moment and then dissolved. Shed would meet the same fate.

So her dream cannot come true.
