This is pretty awesome. If I write more about it, I might be giving spoilers. It's a must watch movie. After Ratsasan, it's my fav right now. It Kept me edge of seat whole time. It's filled with twists and turns. It's back stories and connections just astonished me. It's so well written . One thing that I didn't like in this movie is the female police officer dressup, I didn't get why she had to dressup like this. Besides that it's worth watching movie. I hope, anyone won't regret watching this.

A one-time watch

Cadaver is a nice movie but could've been weaved better. Shows a lot of promise but stumbles to hold the grip. Amala Paul is an outstanding actress but doesn't really create an impact in this film. Several emotional scenes could've been so much better. Some scenes looked forced but it's survives. Watch it or not? Yess, don't expect too much, that's all. It's a good one-timer.
Amala Paul's Murder Mystery Doesn't Grip You, But it is Surely A One Time Watch !!!

Amala Paul is back, not just as an actor, but also as a producer, in Cadaver, a medical thriller that is alive and kicking contrary to its name. It is mostly intense and intriguing, giving us the feel of a properly made investigative thriller, with right mood and tone. However, the film becomes predictable halfway into the story due to its setup, so post the interval, we are only thrown into flashbacks - except for one intelligent twist.
The film starts off with a mystery man abducting and cruelly murdering a chief surgeon of a reputed hospital in the city. As the case proceeds, we are introduced to Badra Thangavel (Amala Paul), an expert pathologist, who aids the city's assistant commissioner, Vishal (Harish Uthaman) in handling the case. Alongside, we also witness a prisoner, Vetri (Thrigun) in jail, who had already vowed to kill the same surgeon by drawing his portrait on the walls of his cell. As this news leaks out, the commissioner and the pathologist are left with no choice, but to interrogate Vetri.
Despite being in captivity, the prisoner manages to kill his second target just as he vowed. This shocks the entire city and they realise someone is helping him from the outside. While Vetri's life unfolds with certain tragic moments, Badra's intelligent move leads to shocking revelations that provide the answers to many questions.
Amala Paul's characterisation and transformation, with respect to looks, is laudable and is definitely a bold move. With short hair and a nerdy look, she convinces as the one who is calling the shots. Her performance as a pathologist amid dead bodies and in a mortuary setup is something to watch out for. That said, the writing is unsteady as it packs all its punches in the first half and lets the second half hanging, barring a few moments. While there are sequences that could have been elevated for a perfect pay off, most of it just falls flat, creating less impact.
What's really surprising about Cadaver are its characters and the making. The cinematography by Arvind Singh is exceptional and it carries the film effortlessly. Ranjin Raj's music is very subtle and fills in seamlessly wherever needed. The supporting characters, including Harish Uthaman, Vinod Sagar, Athulya Ravi and Thrigun, have done a decent job and their performances help the film immensely. The romantic portions - involving Vetri and Angel (played by Athulya Ravi) - do very less for the progress of the narrative. Riythvika, who appears in the flashback sequence, impresses to an extent.
The main pillar of the film is its art director, who has recreated the mortuary and several cadavers, giving an authentic feel to the film.
Cadaver could have been a better film if the screenplay, written by Abhilash Pillai, had been a bit different. That said, director Anoop Panicker has translated what's on the paper neatly and does justice to it, making the film worth a watch.

Cadaver Review

Movie was good, it is a one time watch movie, The story Was good and the acting was good also but what wasn't that good was the hindi dubbing like the girl dubbing voice wasn't that good it didn't match the Actress personality (don't know if I can explain my self). Overall the movie was good it just the dubbing that I didn't like that much.
One of the best thriller of 2022

Warning: Spoilers
Abhilash Pillai wrote a great crime thriller no doubt. But the if we talk about the making of this movie, some questions automatically arise there. Firstly, the character played by Uthaman as Vishal in the movie, it could be more intelligent. Like , you can see Vishal works only at the basis of Vadra's tips there. He can't think by his own. Secondly, the climax , it could contain some more thrilling elements. Thirdly, the most important question, why Vetri was in jail? And specially the action scenes were a bit eccentric to me. But overall the plot was very good and the actors played there role dedicatedly. Specially, the last scene where Vetri knows about his daughter, it touches my heart acutely.
Overall, the movie deserves some appreciation.

A very middle-of-the-road thriller that needed better writing and direction! [+43%]

Warning: Spoilers
Cadaver fails to rise above its clichéd revenge plot, average performances, and a cringeworthy love track. The twists don't startle or make you sit up, and the only thing that holds your interest are the lesser-known forensic elements. The film also presents the relatively unexplored area of committing crimes with the help of forensics as opposed to detecting it. Yet, these moments are far and few in a largely uninteresting but occasionally engaging thriller. Aravinnd Singh's cinematography and Rahul's art direction are pretty effective in recreating the feel of a mortuary where much of the film takes place at.
Expecting some thing Like Ratsasan

10/10 package!!! All actors did a very nice job loved their performance completely. Nice story best casting I would say and did give a moral towards our society well done to the team appreciate all your work. Good job to the South Indian cinema, truly deserving and we should send these movies for international awards instead of stupidity of bollywood.
Must NOT Watch

Thrilling and Gripping tale of love and crime.
cifarshayar14 August 2022
Cadaver is thrilling & gripping tale of love & crime. Many would not agree with the way justice done in the movie but the flow of story hold you to believe in it. Actually the entire film revolves around the character of Amala Paul & she has done a brilliant job. Yes the repeat value of the movie is less but it is worth watching.
Frustrating

Substandard film. Deserves 0 rating.

A poorly written revenge junk. The making is mediocre and the performances are below par. Even the lead Amala Paul gives a pathetic cringy performance. No logic whatsoever in this movie. The makers have taken the audience for granted. Good that this was a direct OTT release. This is the easy way of making business at least a break even. The makers for sure know that this film if released in theatres will be out from the screens on the 2nd day of the release. Thats how worse is the screenplay, story, performance and direction. Don't know when these directors are going to come to terms that audience are way more ahead than them.
Wasted time already watching this pathetic film, so didn't mind wasting some more to write this review. Give it a miss and nothing in this world will change.
