Everything was natural and perfect. This is the point where the series took a a leap and put it to drive gear. Can't wait for the next episode

Definitely the best so far

This was the best episode so far on multiple levels. It was exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat, developed the main characters, and developed the main arc while piling on more mystery.

Love It !!

If you're not watching this delightful show you really should be. I don't watch much television and it takes a lot to hold my attention and Prodigal Son definitely does that. I am 100% invested in Malcom Bright's story and I need all the details. Tom Payne is really coming into his own as Malcom and as an actor. Michael Sheen isn't the star but when he's on screen he demands our attention and we submit.

Crap ton of foreshadowing

And like I said in my review of the pilot, Halston Sage drew the short straw of playing a tv "news" reporter. Hopefully she quits or gets fired and moves on to play an actual human being.

Q&A

Warning: Spoilers
More Silence of the Lambs lite again.

So a television interview is being taped where a reporter interviews her father, a serial killer in prison.

The television network just sends the reporter and a cameraman. No experienced producer or anyone else.

During the interview, she asks her father some questions and does not even give him time to respond. She just fires more questions at him. She certainly shows her inexperience as a journalist.

It does not seem very plausible to me and then Malcolm comes rushing in. A real family reunion.

Then another killer goes on a rampage at the prison and stabs the cameraman.

Is there a surgeon in the house who could save the man's life?

As for Malcolm his dreams leads to another serial killer who left compacted bodies in a junkyard. There could be a link between these killings and his father.

At last this episode has the beginnings of the series arc. There is another killer who wants to get close to the Whitly's.
