- Malcolm is shot at while searching 'his' car at the junkyard, where police finds several bodies buried or pressed alive in car wrecks nearby, indicating the activity of a Brooklyn serial killer over a decade. Believing Martin may know or even mentor the killer, who shies away from publicity and even his victims, Malcolm their father when Ainsley is conducting her TV interview. Just then patient Tevin escapes and stabs his therapist, forcing a lock-down. Breaking into the secure wing, he stabs Ainsley's cameraman/boyfriend Jin in the chest before the guard can lock him out. With Jin bleeding to death and medics too far away to help, Malcolm attempts emergency surgery as instructed by father, but is overcome with a new childhood memory of Martin holding a knife, seemingly guiding him to kill someone in the woods. With Malcolm's tremor disabling him, delighted Dr. Whitly is uncuffed so he can perform the procedure instead while Ainsley insists on filming the entire rescue. Malcolm takes Jin's spare camera and finds Tevin, distracting him with the promise of fame (his obsession) before subduing him with guard David's taser. Ainsley thanks her father before Tevin confesses being manipulated to attack Jin by the doctor, who is placed in indefinite solitary confinement. In Martin's sealed former killer den in mother Jessica's apartment basement, Malcolm receives a call from the Brooklyn serial killer,r who taunts him about having been on the camping trip and knowing what happened.—KGF Vissers
