Action hero Vishal has constantly delivered some of the finest films in this genre. As the title itself says, this is an out-and-out action film. It takes place across multiple foreign locations, and many a times I felt I was watching a Hollywood action film. By no means is this film short on action, and technically too it's pretty rich.
This film might feel like a typical revenge story due to the narration in the first half, but as it proceeds, it morphs into something else. The writing excels in the second half with engaging tension factor, and the characters start feeling more and more impressive. A couple of songs are indeed memorable. Cinematography is splendid, and the action of course is outstanding.
Action is not a film without flaws. The only flaws, in my opinion, were the poor CGI and length. The film is entertaining for sure, but it could've been easily shortened. There are songs that don't serve any major purpose to the story and could've been edited out. But given that it's a film meant to appeal more visually, it's the visual effects that come across as disappointing at times.
Nevertheless, Action is a treat for action fans. I watched it on Prime Video with subtitles, and I'd love to go back to the action scenes again.
