Great Ending !

The season finale had me on the edge of my seat. Would Deran really leave his brothers to runaway with Adrian ? Who would Smurf leave everything to ? Would Jake tell Craig he's his father ? Would Pope actually kick J outta the house ? What is Angela really doing at the Cody's ? J certainly proved his worth and Pope would be a fool to discard him. One thing I don't get is why J admitted to Pope that he stole money from Smurf and bought properties. Perhaps he thought Pope would trust him if he laid all his cards on the table. I can't wait to see what happens next season.

Brilliant (for a change)

What a brilliant series this has been, with a great ending to series 4 and I can't wait for series 5. Interesting characters played by great actors & actresses.

Smurf

It was going to be hard for them to top last week's episode, but considering this was a season finale I think we all expected a bit more. While a random beatdown at the end is fun I think we watch this show for a bit more story than we got here tonight.

Love the show, hate the flashbacks

Love this show, but what on earth were the writers thinking, devoting so much screentime to a backstory plot that extensive and that only involves one of our major characters?? We are invested in this PRESENT timeline. The flashbacks are draggy and boring because we don't CARE about so many characters who *are not our main characters*!! I would've loved more Deran and Adrian time, for instance, since from all appearances the latter probably is off the show. Or more scenes with OUR Smurf.

I'm seriously so disappointed with this season that I may not watch next season--and I would've given the series a 10 before. In fact, tonight I went back and edited my 10 score to a 6.

I will probably still give next season a try. If things improve and there aren't the laborious flashbacks, I will even probably raise my score. For now, though, I'm one seriously peeved fan.

Good Storyline

I've only watched two seasons. Smurf has not yet gone to prison. I like the show, but somehow the characters don't grab me. Even the main character in the show, J. is very bland and doesn't seem to deliver his lines very well. The brothers, while you can (once in a while) see their good side, are an awful group of criminals who don't think twice about what they are doing.
