Entertaining and enjoyable action comedy...

I think that the 2019 movie "Geol kapseu" (aka "Mrs. and Miss Cops") was quite entertaining, and it was very much a movie that embodied everything that the South Korean cinema does best.

Writer and director Jung Da-Won ensured that the movie held enough parts of comedy, action and thrills to make it an interesting movie from start to end. So there is essentially a little bit of something for just everyone to be had here in the movie. I particularly liked how the comedy aspects of the movie were kept subtle, as such the movie didn't crash over and became a full-out comedy.

And the lead actresses Mi-ran Ra (playing Mi-Young) and Song-Kyoung Lee (playing Ji-Hye) were so well-cast for these roles and they performed wonderfully throughout the movie. They definitely had a great on-screen chemistry. And I must say that the movie had such a wonderful character gallery, that you just can't help but come to love and adore.

Now, I mentioned that "Mrs. and Miss Cops" embodies everything that is good about the South Korean cinema, but I can't really put that into a more descriptive manner, because there is just something unique about the South Korean cinema, and they make these light-hearted action comedies phenomenally, and "Mrs. and Miss Cops" were no exception.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and was entertained from the very beginning and up to the end.

If you enjoy the South Korean cinema, then you definitely have to take the time to sit down and watch "Mrs. and Miss Cops" if you have the chance.

My rating for the movie is a solid six out of ten stars.

Wow this movie was good! I really liked it a lot. It's was a really good movie, it was fun, the story was really good, the actors did a great job. It was both funny and it also showed the dark side of web like spy cams(and that they come in all shape and sizes), that many victims can't handle it and they commit suicide, drug perfumes and how they lure their victims.

The chemistry between Mi-ran and Sung-Kyung was really good and Ha-joon was as always gorgeous.

Not Good Enough

I guess after midnight runners, I was expecting too much out of girl cops.

The movie had a strong cast, with two strong female leads that had nice chemistry. They delivered both on the emotional level and on the action level, which was probably the best part of the movie.

However, the plot, although it seemed strong at first, it was not presented well enough. That felt like they were degrading the whole mystery and crime case to a more simple one when it wasn't.

So, overall, four out of ten.

Deserves higher rating!

I don't know why it has such a low rating when it deserves at least 8. This movie made my day so much better, this movie succeeded with having comedy, drama and action all in one. I wished to see more!

I like the movie and the idea of it, but is it nessecary to put some views which can cause a distortion for Islam. Is it really nessecary!!!! I hate this movie after this views like why did you show a mosque why you did not show a church!! Why you mention the islamic people in this dirty issues. I really hope to not see any distortion for Islam. And thank you.

Entertaining movie with a strong message

The movie is a good take on feminism and the crimes against women. It has also given a powerful message on how such crimes are being ignored each day. A very unique thing about the movie is how they've mixed the genres of crime and comedy. There are a few scenes that will tickle your nerves with laughter and a few that will make you anxious. The action in the movie is also fine. Overall, it is an entertaining watch with a strong message.

While I think Korean movies have been the best movies on the planet for at least the past 15 years, however this movie is really disappointing. It has good actors and presents a couple of guest stars for a couple of minutes each, but other than that, the plot and direction are way below bar for Korean movies. It juggles between regular comedy and silly comedy like for example "scary movie" and you can see that in the scene were the young lady detective was talking to a man in the lobby and then a criminal passes by while eaves dropping and started dumping large amounts of cameras...etc. In my opinion, the movie wasn't funny, and underestimated the viewer's intelligence.

As a fan of Korean movie and TV dramas this movie is a waste of time. Good acting but really stupid not silly funny but stupid period. So much crude and useless language and poorly written and directed. Don't waste time in watching this movie it's not worth it.

Deserve more than 5.7!!!!!!!!

Well, what can i say, i am almost never interested in movies where women are the lead-role superheroes, in this one its a good feeling, and they finally proved me right, its not about gender discrimination, its about a decent movie, with some comedy i might have been too generous 9/10 but guess minimum 6,5 out of 10 for everyone else.

One Of The Funniest Comedy Movies

Literally one of the funniest comedy movies I've ever watched. There were so many funny scenes and I also loved the chemistry between all the characters. Even though there were a lot of comedic scenes, there were also a lot of meaningful messages and memorable lines. 100% recommended!!

This was such an enjoyable drama and I was laughing literally out loud in numerous scenes. The casts are very well cast and has chemistry. Ths sisters-in-law works well together. Even the husband, which i is only there for pure entertainment is cracking me up.

The emotional scenes are also very well-done.

Lee Sung Kyung's outburst in the police station and saying "I'm ashamed to be a police officer" and simply letting it all out was outstanding. Her eyes are expressive and so beautiful.

Although, I am much more into Korean series than the movies, and I found the movies too short that they can't really explore the personalities and the reasons of the characters actions (like why Lee Sung Kyung's character was so mean to her brother and sis in law at the beginning).. but if I overlook this due to time constraints, this is quite an enjoyable drama.

All characters work very well together and did an amazing job.

Enjoyable buddy cop movie with a message

Enjoyable and often funny this buddy cop movie has a unique angle. The difficulty of a female having a career in law enforcement. It's an easy to follow story and always fun to see how things unfold even when you know the outcome. Lee Sung Kyung is pretty and convincing. Ra Mi Ran has some fun fighting scenes. Wi Ha Joon from Something in the Rain is a good villain.

Worth a watch.
