In one of those "classical" style of nature documentaries, the ancient king of greenery Attenborough takes us on a tour of Tasmania and its unique ecological inhabitants. It's an enchanting place - full of strange marsupials, singular weather systems, towering trees and PRIMORDIAL KILLER ANTS. A brief afterword with the chill cameraman Simon Plowright and his touching concern for the health and future of the Tasmanian Devils feels fitting. A solid gold example of the form, and a breath-taking glimpse at a distant land.
