Doesn't fully satisfy but leaves a good opening for Season 3
reehan_maple9 July 2007
Warning: Spoilers
The final episode of Season 2, Sona, is certainly one of the best episodes of season. The brothers find themselves in all sorts of problems as Alex Mahone is determined to complete his assignment, while Paul Kellerman decides to fight the devil inside him and help someone. Mahone tries to fix his relationship with his wife and hopes to step back to a better life. Sucre tries to find Maricruz who is abducted by Brad Bellick, while Special Agent Bill Kim is reminded once again of "Sona" and is told that they need only one of the brothers, Bill Kim visits the warehouse where Mahone has Lincoln with him. The conclusion takes an unexpected turn and leaves a good opening for the forthcoming season. This should continue to be one of the greatest shows on FOX and on TV, looking forward to the third season.

Prison Break once again
gedikreverdi13 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Michael,Bellick and Mahone are in the same horrible prison named Sona. Sara shot Kim and Michael took the fall for her and Sara walked out. The bald man that Kim served for was interested in Michael's new prison break out of the Panama jail. Kellermann got in jail and so did Bagwell as the guys he helped in Mexico get Michael didn't bail him out. And the money bag is in the water near the boat where Sara shot Kim.

What's with all the running?
greenjackle2 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This show gets so crazy sometimes. The asian agent guy was about to kill the three of them. So Sarah shoots him dead and yet they all run when the police show up. It was self defense and I have a hard time believing that you aren't allowed to defend yourself. This was a very odd thing they did. Then Michael hold Sarah hostage why? This made no sense. It was 100% self defense.

Then poor Segura. I have a feeling Bellick is 100% lying about his wife. I bet she is wondering were the heck Segura went. I bet she and his aunt are at home and his dumb ass just went along with Bellick no questions or brains. He is a lovable character but all heart low on brains.

But this series has so many loop holes and weird things happening. But hey why the heck not. But seriously Tea Bag should have been killed in his jail cell a long time ago.

My thoughts on S2
Abdulxoxo9 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Prison break season 2 has finally come to an end. My problem with this 22-episode show is that by the time you've finished watching them you will end up with having a backache. Lol. This season has been a wild ride. We follow the aftermath of the events that happened in the last season. Unlike the first season, this season barely features our protagonists in prison. Well one could say they're still in prison in he form of fear. New characters are introduced and lots of old ones are gone. Throughout the season, there has been a lot of backstabbing, double-crossing, conspiracy, lots twists and turns that takes the viewer with surprise at times. Some characters had realistic run while others are completely unconvincing.

Alexander Mahone is a special agent assigned to bring back the eight escapees back to their little cells before they could do any further damage. I have to say, Alex has grown to become my favorite character this season and the best new character so far. He is equally smart as our protagonist, very committed to do his job all while dealing with his personal demons. At some point I rooted while in some cases I don't. He's not always good and he knows it and that's why I like the character. Although, at times the way he solved the puzzles is a bit too much, as the puzzles are just too overwhelming or too confusing to solve even for the designer of such puzzles - Michael.

Michael Scofield, he is the main protagonist and the brains behind the whole escape. Michael always had one goal; to go in prison, break out with his "innocent" brother and disappear forever. What Michael didn't anticipate, however, is the many obstacles he'd encounter along the way including falling in love with Sara, many cons tagging along in their escape, a powerful, shadowy organization that's responsible for framing his brother and now wants them dead etc This season features alot of that obstacles and how he resolved them. I thought as a character Michael is fine although at times he seems too good to be true. In the later of the season, we see how all the events is taking a toll on him, which leads to one of my favorite scene where he wonders if it all worth it and the Scofield brothers have a little fight. We also find out about his traumatic childhood and his absentee father. His development has been good so far. The interplay between him and Alex was intense, they're well match and you can feel their chemistry even when not sharing the screen.

Lincoln Burrows, the reason behind the whole thing. Linc unlike his brother, he's a type of person that does and think later. Well that's not true for the most parts, as throughout their run, he came up with some bright ideas that saved their lives at times but also his decisions sometimes ruined their plan of escape. He is not a brainiac, he's a straight forward person who was framed for something he did not do, not only him but also his son was accused of the same. So he's kinda half-happy half-sad about the whole situation. We also found out that the brothers are both orphans from a younger age; they got nobody but themselves from the start. So Michael doing everything to save his brother kinda make sense. There's an episode where Lincoln abandoned their escape plan and chooses to go for his son who was still in police custody. And not that, whenever everything is back on course one of them had to come up with something that sabotage the whole thing. I found these decisions annoying and there was many of those decisions that stall time and stretch the story longer than it should have been.

Sara Tancredi; a doctor whom Michael befriended during his time in prison and she ultimately became part of Michael's escape plan and love interest. We follow Sarah through the aftermath of the events of the last season. We see how the events affected her mental health, job and life in general. She also find herself mingle in the ongoing government conspiracy. Sarah is tough and smart. And that's one aspect I like about the character. There was certain scene where she was being tortured for information and even though she had something that they wanted she didn't give them because she knew it won't make that much of a difference. And her relationship with Bill is something else

Theodore "T-bag" Bagwell; He is obviously the most dangerous among the escapees. T bag visit more places than the rest I think and everywhere he goes he left a dead body behind I feel as though he had the most unrealistic run as there were countless of instances where he should easily get caught or simply bleed out to death and everytime he gets in a fight inorder to overpower someone, he always succeeded despite having an injured hand. Now I have say despite, his heinous and villainy acts, I found the character entertaining, perhaps the most entertaining of the lot. His parts always gets your attention. We also get to learn about his childhood that more or less lead him to become the man he is presently. He is also kinda in love with his wife? But has a reallly weird way of showing it. And he is the only one who gets to spend large chunk of the money so.... That's something I guess. The ending for the character is a bit ambiguous and I can't wait to find out where his goes from there.

Fernando Sucre; Michael's cellie and closest friend. Now he is arguably one of the soft-hearted of the lot as love is his sole motivation for breaking out. While sweet, i found that stupid and the overall character to be somewhat annoying for that reason. He had no plans for them to start a new life but rather to just grab her at any moment he finds her and ride off to the sunset??. And like Burrows, during one execution of a grand plan, he decided to leave and go for his "Maricruz". I don't know why they keep doing that but it's annoying and drags the plot back and stalls time. The ending for the character is also not clear and I want to see how whether or not he gets to see Maricruz again.

Brad bellick, he started out really strong and almost the big baddie of the first season but things went bad for him after Michael's escape. His life got turned upside down after the breakout because he's the officer in charge and will be held accountable for the prisoner's escape. He was subsequently fired for his bad behavior and then gets tangle up with the escapees on getting the five million dollars prize. His path crossed with many of the escaped characters, how he is able to track them so easily is a mystery to me but it could be that he knows them well and could think like them. He initially, formed an unlikely alliance with Roy Geary. They were able to set aside their differences for the common goal until Geary betrayed him. Now I didn't expect Bellick to be featured much in this season but how he was incorporated into the story was most of the time natural; although there were certain instances were I thought 'it's impossible for him to be there or to do that". He's a greedy man and things didn't end so well for him especially towards the end. I'm quite excited to see him at Sona and can't wait to find out the fate of the character.

Benjamin Miles C Note; he believes he's innocent and like Linc was framed for something he didn't do. He was able to tag along and managed to escape. His motivation for breaking out is to reunite with his family and then live happily ever after. But that's not possible now is it? Anyone with a sense would know that, that's a lame thing to do. He's on the run, wanted all over the country and as if that's not enough, he wants to drag his family into it and jeopardize their lives. However though, he's one of the sympathetic characters. A family man at heart. During the later part of the season, things turned bad for him; His wife got arrested, his daughter got sick and he is left with no any other option but to turn himself in. He eventually strucked a deal Alex that if he rats out Michael and co, then his family will be taken care of. But this go in a way that's not expected and he is wanted to be eliminated which leads one particular scene, that - in my opinion - is one of the most emotional of the series; when he tearfully asks what in package. Well at the end, of them all, he's the only one that got his happy ending and that's good for him.

Tweener; Also another sympathetic character. Even since he came to fox river, he's being manipulated, beaten, send around and that's accounted to his small stature. After the breakout, like the rest he wanted to the 5 million dollars prize. However on his way to Utah something nice happened to him. He met a girl and even developed a relationship, she helped him at the end which was sweet. His run was short-lived when he was arrested by Alex. His demise was shocking and a really sad way for the character to go.

Haywire; he is the least featured character of the Fox River Eight. He didn't care about the money. His dream is simple; to sail away to Netherland. He is later trapped by police up a silo and convinced by Mahone to commit suicide by jumping to his death.

On the whole, what helps held this show together is the good casting. The acting is fantastic. Each actor embodies their character very well. The character are easy to root for or otherwise. The show nevers get boring, always keeps you guessing thanks to the script's never-ending twists and turns. And judging by the ending, the next season is going to wild with different locations and more obstacles for Michael to overcome.

Too many inconsistencies
amirams29 August 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I got used to the numerous inconsistencies and illogical events in this series (the main one being - people getting cured blazingly fast from severe injuries), but this one has gone too far. How did Sara find the brothers' new boat (even before they did)? How did Kim find this new boat? If it took Michal 24 hours to bring the boat to Mahone, how did Link (cuffed to a pipe) go to the toilets? Why have the authorities arrested Michael and sent Sara free if their stories contradicted? If Sucre fell with his face to the ground, why was he found in the next shot lying on his back? Why did the brothers escape from the authorities when all they did was shoot a person who aimed a gun at them? How did Michael manage to open Link's handcuffs with a paper clip in a matter of two seconds? I could go on and on.

It seems that in a rush to end the season with everyone in Sona or dead, they let the story slip a bit too much.

It should have ended here..
mseeaint522 June 2017
Warning: Spoilers
In every show there is a point when you feel a ending coming or a point where it should end, and this was that point. They had their yacht with Sara (Somehow she got there not going into details there) and they could have left, could have easily got Sucre back with his girlfriend and got away, Belick and T-bag in jail seemed fitting but no. They kept it going, the whole episode was very rushed and not well done, I am not sure how it got a 8.8/10 on here.

A Rushed and Disappointing Conclusion of a Season
claudio_carvalho30 October 2008
Kellerman presents documentation and full confession in court telling that he had orders from The Company to kill Sara; he is sentenced to prison, Sara is released and Lincoln is exonerated of all charges. Sucre leaves the hospital seriously wounded trying to get the information from Bellick where Maricruz is while Bellick and T-Bag share the same jail. Michael seeks out the drug lord Jesus plotting a scheme. Mahone calls Pam and schedules a meeting with her and their son in Cartagena; however Lincoln suggests Mahone to leave Pam instead of sharing the cancer of his life. When Michael arrives in the Mira Flores Shipping Docks to meet Mahone, he hides first the backpack of money. Mahone and Bill Kim arrive in the storehouse and they double-cross each other; during the shoot-out, Michael and Lincoln escape. Mahone sails with Catherine Rose, expecting to reach Cartagena, but the authorities find a large quantity of cocaine and he is arrested for trafficking. During the transportation to the prison, Kellerman is executed. Michael and Lincoln meet Sara in a power boat and she tells that Lincoln is a free man. When Bill Kim arrives in the dock, hell comes back to Michael's life.

"Sona" is a rushed and disappointing conclusion of the Second Season. There are so many inconsistencies that only the unaware viewer that might not have paid attention. How long has taken to Kellerman testify in court and be prosecuted, arrested and sent to prison and Sara be released? Less than twenty-four hours? His statement in court associated to Michael tape would be necessary to jeopardize the American institutions in the hugest conspiracy of that country and probably the hugest reparation to Lincoln as indemnity for his troubles. The trial would certainly take a long period. How could Sara find Michael's boat so fast when even he does not know where the boat is? How could the trio be chased by the Panamanian police without claiming self-defense? It would be very easy to call the embassy, Bruce or the attorney general Cooper Green and explain that Bill Kim is one of the leaders of the conspiracy promoted by The Company and that he was murdered in self-defense. What happened with the money left in the water? The healing of Mahone, T-Bag, Michael and Sucre is also amazing. My vote is seven.

Every character in this show is incredibly dumb!
ilonaorange12 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I've had enough of this bs through out the entire season two.

It's so apparent that the screenwriter deliberately made every character an idiot so as to cause drama and extreme predicable "twist". I watch every episode with a heart rate of 50 simply because the plot is so lame that doesn't even contain any thrill, yet it always causes my blood pressure sky high coz it's beyond stupidity!

Every time these so-called "fugitives" finally lose their pursuers and meet up in front of some vehicle, they'd DEFINITELY take their time catching up with each other at their current location. It never occurs to them that they should talk on the road. They just have to decide that "hey, this is a great spot to chat! Let's hang out a while longer so that our pursuers can catch up!"

And when their pursuers, driving a police car, do catch up with them, they would just ABANDON their vehicle, a boat on water, and decide that "hey, it's faster to run on foot than by vehicle! Because a police car obviously can float on water and outrun our boat!"

This is literally the stupidest show I've ever seen!

Guys guys... we DONT do this to fellow humans
tzotzasofia5 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So there was an ending there. I saw it... But it lasted for like 10 seconds. Just to make things clear i' m okay i guess with making an introduction to a new plot BUT not in that way and not in the last episode of the season people.

So here are my compaints. Fistly it needs to be said that its remarkable the way that they make us not enjoy something we' ve been waiting for so long... little Asian guy hello like gets killed and I' ve reached a point where i'm ready to go and save him myself. (Same goes for Paul who I hated with my whole existence during 1st season).

Now on to the real stuff. So, just as things are finally falling into place after 44 (22+22) episodes of literal hell and just as i' m about to have 5 minutes of joy with michael and sarah finally heading into the sunset, dolphins jumping from the waves and Celine singing my heart will go on, someone' s coming screaming to our ears "not that easy B*t&%" and reminds us, with no tact I must add, that there' s going to be a 3rd season in case you dared to think differently and most importantly that you are going to watch it either you want or not. Yeah...so that was violent and I' m against violence generally. Only peace you guys.
