Is he dead or alive?

Headmaster James Arthur Leather, is put on trial by a group of hooded figures, he's found guilty of causing the death of a pupil, the following day his absence raises concern, Sergeant Cork is brought in.

Series five has flashed by, only four episodes long, and a somewhat mixed bag, the previous episode was excruciating, this one however was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed this one.

A case that could have easily been written for Inspector Morse, I could quite imagine John Thaw in Oxford dealing this this crime.

That kangaroo court scene was quite unsettling, and those kkk costumes are always unsettling to see, Sergeant Cork's disgust was apparent.

Some nice touches of humour, once again coming from Rodway, and his singing.

I'm not sure about you, but some of those school boys don't like very much like school boys to me, some of them look like they're in their mid twenties.

Windsor Davies is on fine form here, I'm glad he hasn't hidden his accent away.

8/10.
