"And Baby Makes Four" was the third season opener, a one hour broadcast followed by a concluding half hour. A very pregnant Julie tries to reassure her husband that she knows the routine to get to the hospital: "if your water breaks don't touch the toaster!" The Sweathogs are minus one, as Barbarino reports that he's been left back, 'majoring in the 10th grade,' having missed taking the state exam to move ahead with his fellow Sweathogs. Woodman rejoices in finally breaking up the group, but Kotter lays down the law in regard to his classroom, taking charge as 'captain of the ship.' A despondent Vinnie happens to be present when Julie's time comes, Woodman resorting to making the announcement over the loudspeaker, as Gabe smiles in response. The Kotter apartment address is revealed as 711 E. Ocean Parkway.
